I’ve never seen so many white Siberian Huskies in one place. One looks like she could turn out a Red. 5 Boys and 2 girls.

That’s in addition to my other 4

The gap between Runt and “Fat Rat” (what the boys are calling the big one) is getting pretty big. They are all still gaining consistently but I’m beginning to worry that once they open their eyes, she’s going to have to fight a little harder to complete for food.

She is only half of the next smallest one. She is gaining at the rate of an ounce a day. He is gaining at 2.5oz a day. The others are between 2-2.5oz/day.

We had the same concern with our pup. When we brought him home and to his first vet check she thought he was younger than we were told due to his small size. We called the breeder and expressed our concern and she told us he was one of the smaller pups and the mom struggled to have enough milk for the litter (9 or 10). The breeder told us not to worry he would get caught up. Man was she right, he’s getting to be a big boy at 6 mo, not so much in height but in strength. Bout pulls my arm out of the socket.

Pretty cool how you monitor the pups and their weight gain.

I don’t think she’s struggling to produce milk. I think she was just so far behind in the womb that it’s manifesting the way it is.

Well, I have 11 including these little guys. We’ll keep a couple but some will be rehomed. Got a cousin has asked for one. I won’t hand out pups to anyone who asks. I’ve turned down a few folk already that aren’t in a position to handle the responsibility. I don’t think I’ll have any trouble finding homes when the time comes. Wife doesn’t even like dogs and she has dibs on the big one and the runt. 6 is a good number, 8 is max here. I have the room and the facilities for all of them so it’s not an emergency to unload them. I have an established pack so that’s not an issue. I can take my time and be selective where they go.

Bought momma a new bed so she can escape the midgets and relax in some comfort between feedings. She’s using it but doesn’t stay long at a time.

Those bulbs on that tree cost me a fortune. 24 different Terry Redlin paintings on them.

Been 6 weeks since I posted anything on here. One of the pups has been rehomed with a cousin. The rest are getting big. I went out and built them a 32’ play pen at lunch yesterday. T-posts, hog panels and zip ties. Now they run amuck all day and dig to China. Momma is looking pretty thin. She just got spayed and hasn’t got he’s appetite back yet. She’s on a leash to keep her from the pups. She’s been inside since she gave birth.
