I think it's brilliant for them to offer him a free ride. Look at all the free marketing they are getting from all the fan connection. I must say I have to keep looking up the company that is sending Shatner up. I know Space X is the one Elon Musk owns. The other two I have to look up.
In the end, it will be a pretty cheap commercial for the company.
I hope all goes well for him.
