classic ball game

last weekend I watched a softball game that was near perfect. The teams where evenly match. Both pitchers were on. My granddaughter was one of them Neither one of them was a strike out pitcher. Both had mastery of what I call "junk" pitches that had both teams batterers looking lost. Both teams where hitting just about nothing out of the infield with great plays by the infielders and when an occasional ball went to the outfield, it was run down. Very little errors were made and they where erased every single time. Both teams had bases loaded twice but could not score. I was sitting next to another grandpa and we kept looking at each other and kept saying "do you believe this". The game ended in 5 innings which is regulation for that age group (15 & under). Few games go to regulation because there is a time limit also of 75 minutes. This is one of those games that there should not be any losers. And there wasn't. Score....0-0. Both teams got standing ovations. It ended just like it should have.

Nice to see I bet. To much emphasis placed on being a winner anymore. The fun factor is lost

It is possible. Her team plays in tournaments all over Wake and it's environment. Next week they are going to Kingston. Overnight-er. Once in a while she plays with a team in S.C. as a guest player. She is getting a rep in the Carolina's but her dad is keeping her grounded not that she needs it. She is so laid back.
