No dogs to report on, but we had a nice party yesterday. The kids who local all came out
along with our youngest daughters in laws. Men and boys in the pool while the women folk chatted
on the deck. I stayed dry and just watched the water blaster fights.

I got out of cooking by letting my son in law do the grilling.
Brats, burghers on grilled brioche buns, baked beans, pasta salad, pickled beets.
Also for snacks, smoked cheeses provided by a soon to be son in law, I think anyway,
carrot sticks, celery sticks, cherry tomatoes and ranch dressing.
Then Carol presented her smoked peppers stuffed with cheese and sausage, (Parnell's Old Folks),
wrapped in bacon. Some were Jalapenos and some just sweet red and green peppers. The jalapenos
went first. They were really good.
Most of us washed them down with Carol's home made red wine.
By seven they were all on their way home and we had the house back to normal and spent a
quiet evening.
Our seven year old grandson said he was running the other day and this shelf hit him in the eye.
I asked if the shelf ran out to get him but he didn't understand Grandpa's humor.
Well, now the next big get together will be Thanksgiving.
