Good neighbor across the street.... him and his wife in their 80's and he does OK but wife has been in bad health for a good while, They decided to move into an assisted living facility near their daughter. They moved in yesterday but they sent him back home because of a positive Covid test. Saw him this morning and he says he feels fine but daughter is going to take him for another test.
Neighbor next door....he has been down for 2 wks. not able to get out of bed due to a medication change but he has had health issues for a good while and in his mid 70's.
Neighbor behind me was put in nursing home due to health issues this week. In 10 yrs. I'll be close to knocking on that 80 door....but I don't feel that old yet....scary!

If that's you in the photo you don't look 70.
Well, I'm 80 going on 81. I have hearing aids, (which I seldom use), replacement lens in both eyes, an artificial aorta, and dental implants. I can't do the things I did 20 years ago as fast, but I can still do them. Life is pretty good but I can see the end of
the road coming these days.
I can eat what ever I want, go where ever I want, I have few complaints.
I do thank God weekly.😊

Well 67 right now but time seems to fly by the older you get. Still feeling good and on no meds but notice this heat and humidity gets to me more each year. I make a lot of walking laps in the house from noon to evening while doing 10 lb. arm curls to keep the body moving.
Wife ask where did I want to go for a vacation and I replied "straight to October/November!

I hear you forty. I have a pretty good Doc and along with the Mayo I think I get pretty good care.
I am on some meds nowadays that 21 years ago when I retired I think I didn't need, but I'm doing
well so I don't argue.
My Mother was in her eighty's and bragged about not taking meds, but she should have been taking
her heart meds because she had a heart arithma and then a stroke. My brother told me she had refused
to take the meds because they made her feel funny.
Just saying.
Don't be afraid of meds if the Docs say you need them.

Yup, I take maintenance meds, but avoid the pain meds. I feel the weight of my age and both careers. Lol. I am a lot slower to heal these days, and just a lot slower.

The one positive thing I can think of as I get older, is how unimportant the material things I own are. Sure, we all have our wants and needs, but the most important thing is life, and to stay as healthy as possible until our time comes.

We might get a bit slower doing what we want to do, but, one thing is for sure, we cannot slow time.

Forty, I've got 5 years on you and one thing I've figured out is don't stop. When you do whatever you gave up will be gone. I've got my health issues and take several medications daily, but It doesn't stop me. You are ahead of the game if you don't need medications at your age. As Mark point out "we can't slow time", just keep on trucken,

Paul

I knew that was coming but figured Big Al would beat you to it. He must be getting old!

As far as meds...right now my BP is in the 125/68 zone and my Doc said I don't need any BP meds right now. Weight stays around 154-158 depending on time of year and blood sugar is within normal limits. Now time for that Coors Light....just one or two at most.

I’m in remarkable shape for an 80 year old man. Unfortunately I’m only 72.
