The Dead Zone.......

Post by fortyshooter » Thu Aug 26, 2021 10:43 am

So I screwed a board onto a rail post on my creek bridge which had an opened container of peanut butter with the bottom cut open.
After 6 days absolutely nothing has touched it....no deer, raccoons or squirrels or other critters. Have a trail cam near the bridge to record any activity but guess when it is hot weather not much feeding activity. You would think animals would hang around the creek for a cool drink once and a while.

Interesting results forty. Six days is a long time for such a tempting treat to go unmolested. I wonder how long that will last?

I cant keep peanut butter in my mouse trap in the back yard as the ants carry it off before the mice get to it.

I had my trail cam down by the lake for four days and all I saw was one racoon family that comes through
my yard every night. I'm going to move it today. I have a game trail that looks promising.

Scheese, and here I thought you were talking about some zombie flick on netflix! That is a spell for no critters to check it out.

Al: Mix some boric acid powder with the peanutbutter, that'll take care of ants. Damn things go after anything.

This was my dinner last night... Who doesn't put beans in chili? I have like 4 different beans in this one. No peanut butter.

That chili looks darn good. Maybe a little peanut butter would enhance it more.

Actually I put peanut butter on my crackers that I eat with my kidney bean chili. I'm just one of those guys that you don't want to introduce to your family I guess.😊
