My kind of racing here!

Factory Appearing Stock Tire racing where everything has to look stock. Here is one of the top contenders tuning his 1971 Hemicuda and making an astounding 820 HP at 9000 RPM at the wheels...not at the flywheel!!!! https://youtu.be/Kcuhbjw9if4

You have to run the type engine that was available from the factory in that car with all the stock heads, intake carbs and exhaust manifolds. Max size exhaust
system is 2 1/2 inches with full factory system and factory looking type mufflers. Must run on factory size and type tires that were available on car. They run reproduction tires bias ply and F-60-15 on this Hemicuda.
Engine wise you can do anything as far as stroke...cubic inches camshaft...cylinder head and manifold porting...compression. Must pull a certain vac. at idle to sound somewhat stock. Some of the guys at top of class running mid-high 9 second ET's at over 140 MPH on those stock type tires!!
Get caught with Nitrous and banned forever plus sent to Mars!!!

Have seen them run and it is wild what they can do! No major awards or money for winner just bragging rights!

Yep it isn't cheap but most of them have a business of some kind.
Here was a run from recent race. The above mentioned Hemicuda and a 1969 427 ZL-1 Camaro.... https://youtu.be/eSFtOqDirio
Watch the end.

I loved the old muscle cars. Back in the 70s when I was really into the scene, my friends had them, I had NO money. LOL. I did get to drive a few, and since I had a van, I drove them often, we'd swap vehicles for the weekend often. They would borrow the van, I'd have a Camaro, a Formula Firebird, a NON stock KZ Motorcycle to run the roads with. BUT, we respected the property of one another. 8-)
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.
