Yes Bald Eagle. Nest was in those rocks. Long distance lens. Maybe 600 feet up.

There are two nesting right across the lake from us. They've been there for several years and the nest is huge.
Usually they have three chicks, (if that's what you call baby eagles), and if you canoe under the nest they sit
on branches and watch you.
Magnificent bird.

We have them around here too along various rivers. Last November it was a clear blue day and I was working on outside Christmas decorations and saw a lone large bird just gliding along but very high up. Got out my binoculars and saw the coloring of an eagle. Was very cool to see that!

Thanks for sharing. We have a pair of eagles that nest on the next lake over from us, but they do a lot of hunting on our lake.
