My middle gal in Southern OK is a talented child. In spite of her illness, she runs her small boarding facility, grows her garden, and has her small fruit orchard, and berry bushes. Always making jellies and jams. A few years ago, she added beehives. Each year she adds more. She just sent a couple pics. I love honey. Seriously...

She laughed when I said, "That's a lot of honey."

She said, "That's not nearly half of it."

She is bringing some up when they come to visit on the 4th.

*** to be fair, all the kids are doing well. I am proud of each and every one. She is doing well in SPITE of the medical challenges.

I'm sure that's a whole lot of work right there, but how rewarding.

I used to buy one of those plastic "honey bears" as a kid, using my allowance. I'd put it on toast, in oatmeal, or line a finger... :D It would last a week or two, if I could keep my little sister's paws off it.

Love honey. We have a local orchard community that has a honey producer in it. Their products are available in the local grocery store and while it’s twice the price of the national brands I always but the local product. Not sure if it tastes any different as I’m not a connoisseur but I buy it anyway. Good for your daughter for all she does.

When I first moved home to Minnesoooota I had a lot of allergy problems, and so did my son. The old Doc I went to
advised me to buy local honey and eat it as it contained all the pollens that were torturing us. He said that way our
bodies would adapt. He was absolutely correct.

Buy the local honey.👌

Raw honey is wonderful stuff with many uses. Besides eating it, it will prevent a wound from becoming infected. There is however, some risk of botulism poisoning, and you shouldn't feed it to infants for that reason.

Oh yeah, I cook with honey. Chicken, pork... Yummy.
Biscuits? Dieting, so don't get many, but yeah buddy... Honey on a hot biscuit, with a mug of coffee? Redneck heaven. If you got bacon.

I tend to substitute honey for sugar in a lot of recipes.
