A story of excellent CS times 3

The doses I got this last week of excellent Customer Service (CS) came from three companies: Skinner Sights; DLT Trading, and SOG Knives. I'm certain if I had any issues with my Henry rifle, that great Henry CS would have happened, too! ;)

Skinner Sights -- episode one. The issue was my bad. I goofed up my "collection" of Skinner peep apertures by leaving the incorrect aperture size on my BBB when I sold it. So I "lost" the primary aperture size for my receiver-mounted peep on my new SGC --- just mixed up the apertures. I emailed Andy about another accessory I was planning to buy from him (the knurled elevation locking screw), and just mentioned to him what I did with my apertures. Well, he really surprised me with a generous offer. He "bartered" with me by saying if I purchased the locking screw, he would include the aperture I lost, plus one other aperture size I wanted at no charge. Not very hard to quickly say "yes!" So I did order the locking screw, and got the shipment today. Not only did I get the two aperture sizes I wanted, he included the largest aperture size -- also at no charge! I didn't have that one nor planned to get it. I'd say Andy provided me with top-notch CS, as well as with his quality products. Thanks, Andy!!

DLT Trading -- episode two. When I bought my Victorinox Swiss Army knife from this WI-based company, I had excellent CS help with a number of questions I had. I also had some issues with replacement parts I ordered from them, and the CS rep bent over backwards to help fix the issues. All went well. So I wrote to the owner to thank him for his employee's great CS. He wrote back and this is exactly what he said:
Wow!
Thank you very much for the kind words! We appreciate it greatly.
Taking the time to write such a very nice note means a great deal to us.
Kindest Regards
.

Very cool note. Thanks, Jason & Mary!!

DLT Trading -- episode three. After the first good experience with them, I ordered my second knife from this company. The knife and sheath were delivered this week, are excellent quality, and I really like them. But there was a glitch. The belt clip was badly bent. I measured it and it has a .454" gap at the end that goes over the belt. Will never hold to a belt. So I contacted DLT CS again, this time by email, and included a picture of the bent clip. Got back an almost immediate response. After checking their inventory, they measured the gap on the same belt clip and told me it should be barely 1/8" gap, not the .454 I had. They suggested I go direct to SOG Knives for a replacement. However, he also offered to me that if SOG would not replace the clip, I should then send it to him and he would work with SOG to get a new clip through a warranty claim. At the same time, he'd send me a new one out of his inventory Good options. Thanks, Eric!!

SOG Knives -- episode four. OK. I called SOG directly with my belt clip issue. Without even seeing the part, the CS rep asked for my name and address and said she would send me not only a new belt clip, but also another new knife sheath! I said, should I send you the original parts? "No" was her response. So at no charge I'll be getting the replacement clip and a second new sheath. That was a very easy transaction and quick resolution. Another good job. Thanks, Amanda!!

Wow is all I can say. Whenever a company does quality CS like the three above, how can I go wrong patronizing them? These three companies, and definitely Henry RAC, all will keep my business!! :D It was a good CS week, and actually fun, too!

Those are fine examples that it still is possible to get good CS. I will try to patronize DLT soon, just on your good experiences!

Always glad to hear good customer service stories instead of just complaints.

Thanks, PT7.
