Lots of them where we camped. Saw 11 this morning, 5 more yesterday. Unusual to see that many. No calves yet.

Well, if you know about Moose, don't get them riled up. They can be MEAN. Neat picture tho.

There is a very small chance a few may still survive in NZ.

No, no, no Natasha, it's moose and squirrel. :lol:
But what about gooses? ;) :lol:
We'll begin with a box, and the plural is boxes;
but the plural of ox became oxen not oxes.
One fowl is a goose, but two are called geese,
yet the plural of moose should never be meese.
You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice;
yet the plural of house is houses, not hice.
If the plural of man is always called men,
why shouldn't the plural of pan be called pen?
If I spoke of my foot and show you my feet,
and I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?
If one is a tooth and a whole set are teeth,
why shouldn't the plural of booth be called beeth?
Then one may be that, and three would be those,
yet hat in the plural would never be hose,
and the plural of cat is cats, not cose.
We speak of a brother and also of brethren,
but though we say mother, we never say methren.
Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him,
but imagine the feminine, she, shis and shim.

Yes, English is interesting: to, two or too; there or their; here or hear; sea or see; red or read; tail, tell or tale; sail, sale or sell; hare or hair; but or butt, hi or high; feet or feat; rain, rein, reign; etc.

I think that would depend on whether you're a bull moose or not, and what time of year it is. ;)

Yes. I remember that. I danced to their music in High School. The young folks today would have no clue.

The entire story is sad. Waylon Jennings told Buddy shortly before he got on the plane ‘I hope yur-all plane crashes’ when Buddy learned he didn’t have to take the bus with no heater.
