Working the math, it was about a 50' drop, so at 32'/sec/sec (gravity), and taking account of the spread eagle form of the cat on the way down (air resistance), I'd say he was doing about 35mph when he hit the ground.

I live deep in the woods and have seen clumsy squirrels fall out of a tree from at least that height
and run away unharmed. And no, they were not flying squirrels, although we do have them here. :lol:

Cat has four legs to absorb the impact assuming he lands on all four and runs away. :shock: Me....landed on two legs falling 30 feet and broke both my legs. Maybe I should have tried the spread eagle thing. :lol:

But I landed on my side, no feet or hands, just a Big ole thud.
