Also saw on the news yesterday that some airlines are making pit stops on cross country flights to gas up.

Back in operation, BUT:

The Colonial Pipeline has returned to operations following a cyberattack that snarled gas supply for the eastern U.S. for days, according to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.

"Following this restart, it will take several days for the product delivery supply chain to return to normal," Colonial Pipeline said in a statement. "Some markets served by Colonial Pipeline may experience, or continue to experience, intermittent service interruptions during the start-up period."

"Colonial will move as much gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel as is safely possible and will continue to do so until markets return to normal," the statement added.

I haven't heard of any arrests of the perps, so I'm not quite ready to celebrate. They got into Colonial, so they could (and probably will) get into some other major infrastructure target of their choosing. I doubt we've seen the end of this.

no doubt about it .... I doubt there will ever be an end to folks trying to make such attacks .... the ones I'm laughing at are folks who are stockpiling high priced gasoline

Society today is really depressing. We have three vehicles that are all down to about 1/4 tank. Oh well, we can wait it out. Not going to go burn 1/4 tank to wait in a line to pay way too much to replace what I used waiting in line.
I think we all know part, if not all of the reasons these, amongst other things are happening now, but can't go there!!!

I have a garage full of the good stuff (TP). I plan to bequeath it to my heirs.
