Perhaps. Which might be one reason why 8.4 million people decided to buy their first gun last year and 15 million more increased the number of guns they already owned. And this year looks the same if the industry can keep up.

Yeah, and we have that trial going on in the city. Hopefully they will contain it there and
not let it spill out into the country. We country boys don't have much of a sense of humor.

Self arming is great, but we need stricter laws.
Without getting political, this country is softening them.

I am seriously considering getting my pistol permit because society is going into the toilet quickly. This younger generation has no self discipline and doesn’t value life.

Why the city is even wasting taxpayers money on that clown is beyond me, just look at the video. GUILTY!

Not stricter laws, we have plenty.
Anyone who has worked with our judicial system, in any way, can tell you that a lot of folks who needed harsh treatment, don't get it from the liberal judges. Then those who you think really should get a real break get hammered. To avoid a political hammer, I won't provide actual examples I have seen first hand.

Stop considering and do it. "You go to war with the weapons you have, not the ones you wish you had."

I watched the video and they certainly are not guilty of anything, however the city and state want convictions
to avoid riots.

If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore what he must be taught to fear is his victim. Jeff Cooper.

I tend to vary my conceal carry although we do have open carry in this state. I usually rotate through my Sig's: P229 in .357 Sig, P229 in 9 mm, P220 in 45 ACP, and P224 in .40 S&W. Occasionally I'll carry one one of my revolvers but not often: GP100 .357, GP 100 .44 spcl., or S&W 14-8. The only time I don't carry a firearm is when I'm asleep or in the shower.

In all senses on criminal behavior.

We should be a little cautious when defining "criminal behavior".
“Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.”

That too.
But I say an assault on a uniform officer should be doubled to whatever is on the books now.
Still need to bite my tongue on some other stuff, but Virginia is going weak on crime, somehow thinking it's for the better.
