I like dogs but have always been a cat person. Owning dogs are a lot more work, so I like other people's dogs.

I see we're leading the "Canine companions" thread 29 to 13.

Although they are no longer with us, these were our girls-Zooey (black) and Tiger Lilly (white with spots)

I’d get more Cornish Rex cats in a heartbeat; they have big personalities and are very affectionate.

We took in a little guy last Friday 8/23. He has always had a closeness with the little manly man. The cats name is Falcon, his original guardian has passed away. His replacement guardian is in the hospital, and it's not looking good for her at all. Here he is at home now.

Ran across photos of this cat a couple of days ago. Can't believe some of the expressions he makes. You have to join Instagram to have access to all his photos and videos but you can see some without joining. His owner is pretty dedicated to him, he broke his spine and his back legs are paralyzed, she has to help him with his bathroom duties several times a day, he can not go on his own.

Never was a cat guy. I salute anyone who can put up with their temperament. I always jokingly say the best cat is a flat cat!

They are for the most part independent, however, our cat Bodhi has an almost dog, ( Mans Best Friend ) temperment. He is very loving and rolls over every morning to have his belly scratched. I have come to learn that it is my duty, and had better oblidge, :D

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

When we had to put Carol's last cat down she cried and swore she'd never go through that
again, sssooooooooooooo naturally two weeks later she adopted another one. This one was a
feral kitten that had her ear tips frozen off before she was captured. Brought her home, turned
her loose and didn't see her again for a couple of weeks, but she came out to eat and use the
litter box so gradually she settled down. You still can't hold her your lap, don't even think about
it, but she does love for Carol to brush her and she loves to play laser tag with me.
