We have Buster the mini-pin terrier mix. Smart little protector that has his folks well trained!
If he hears one of those truck backup beepers on TV...he goes off!

We are Golden Retriever people. We have had two but right now we are dog-less as we lost our guy last fall. We are on a waiting list for a pup from a breeder in Salt Lake City and hope to bring one home this summer.

I actually grew up with dogs in our family. Had a Dachshund, Weimaraner's, and Mini Schnauzer. All great dogs. The Weimer, Suzy, would stand on the little wooden deck of my dad's old cedar strip boat and stare into the water while we trolled along fishing. Then every once in awhile...SPLASH!....she'd lose her balance and in she'd go. We'd have to grab her and pull her into the boat....she'd shake and soak us, and then back up on the deck again.
