After finishing up my range fun I stopped across the road to check out the new guy who bought the 40 acres. He bought it from a guy who had only been there about a 1 1/2 years and who cleared some of it and put up a double wide trailer and also built a new home for sale on 5 acres of it.

Now this young guy in his 30's has a lot going on owing his own welding company and travels a lot to different jobs. He had a crew grading and graveling an area for a larger parking area and later a 40x40 shop and has plans to build a home. Also has an area fenced in for his pot belly pigs and couple great danes plus some goats on the way. His wife wants to have some cows also.
Nice fellow who is into shooting too when he has the time he heard me shooting my .45-70 High Wall and has some interest in a .45-70 lever rifle.

Anyway hope his critters don't escape the compound to often as it could be a circus running around!

Let’s see, your machinist skills and his welding skills. You guys are unstoppable. (of course, I bet you can lay a fine bead down yourself)

I belong to a nice gun range twenty minutes away so I don't shoot much at home, but the preacher at north
end of the lake shoots almost every day. Kinda like an old Glen Ford movie. A gunslinging preacher.
Got another guy south of me that discovered exploding targets. Now they are LOUD!

Yeah those things are loud even from 100 yds. ! I haven't shot any of those at my place though.
