I've ordered a bison belt from Vintage Bison Co., 1 1/2" wide made from bison leather, tough, lifetime guarantee. It's the Ranger model, I liked best.

They also have a 20% discount for military, first responders, etc. That helped.
Also several styles, wallets, etc, women's stuff.

Nice belt Grunt if you can wear one. I cant wear one anymore I use suspenders. Found some I really like and work very well with no annoying clips.

Nice belt, buffalo leather is tough. I can't bring myself to say bison....sorry but there was no Bison Bill Cody...
Suspenders for me too most of the time, and usually wear a knife belt.

What is this Buffalo vs Bison thing? I know Buffalo have bigger horns and body. The Bison have a bigger head for foraging and also have a shaggy coat as opposed to the Buffalos' smoother coat.

In actual fact; bison are North America and buffalo are actually African as in Cape Buffalo. They are two distinct animals.
Not sure how buffalo became the term here but it stuck.

Basically, the same powerful animals, short of a couple subtle differences. Don't think I want to mess with either one, without a firearm.

RR is right. What most of us call buffalo is bison. I don't know how that came to be either.
Buffalo are two different animals I guess. The Cape buffalo in Africa, and the water buffalo in Southeast Asia ( ones in 'Nam I'm familiar with. All have a nasty temper when annoyed.
The hide is very tough. These belts are hand worked in 50 steps.
The ones in "Nam were worked like mules, pulling a plow in rice paddies.
I just call all of them buffalo.

Well, got my curiosity aroused on the buffalo thing, so I looked it up.
Buffalo comes from the French for beef animal or ox, “boeuf”.
And bison comes from the Greek word for beef animal or ox
So, take your pick.

Ok, that's interesting. But what's with the "buffalo chicken" thing? Do some buffalo ( or bison) have wings and feathers? Or do some chickens have horns and hooves?

Has there been some hanky panky going on?

Not sure I'd want a belt made from buffalo wings....

Come on you guys, everybody knows the best woods carry ammo for predators is some of that BisonBore stuff.
On our trip to South Dakota last fall we enjoyed seeing these guys in Custer State Park. I had no idea that there was a difference until that trip.
