I used to listen to his show when I was on lunch break at the plant. Sorry to see him pass on.

As I said on another forum, I used to listen to Rush every day as I made the hour long drive in for my evening shift. I agreed with most of his positions as he presented them, but when I didn't; I respected the logical arguments he used to support them.

More importantly, I liked his treatment of his callers. ALL his callers. I often thought Rush seemed to enjoy bantering with those who called in with opposing views, and he gave them time to present them as long as they did so appropriately. He didn't bully them as so many other hosts would, nor bash them personally after they left the air. 8-)

He would proceed to tear apart their arguments, OR, give credit where credit was due if they made good points or brought up something he hadn't considered. The only time he tended to get negative was in discussion of those who should have known better. ;)

Now, his battle ended, pain ended, he can rest in peace.

I read these responses as I sit in the local Hospital ER waiting room as my mother has had yet another TIA.
Hopefully, just another false alarm

Thank you Jim.
They checked her out and decided to release her. Vitals seem stable right now. Took her home and got her in bed.
It is now 3:50 AM. Gonna be off grid for several hours now I imagine.
Thank you for the prayers..I know they help.

Cannot thank you guys enough for your thoughts and prayers.
Mom's vitals checked out ok. Took quite a while, but they finally let me take her home. I didn't get to bed till about 4:30 AM.
Because of that, I just got up. Trying to re-group here. Eat lunch at this point, then get on with the day.
Thank goodness it did not get cold enough for the significant ice storm they predicted for last night or I would have been driving home in it.
Once again, THANK YOU all!
