Saving Money

My old printer, Epson XP-310, is 6 yrs old, still prints good, but yesterday, I needed to scan a document into the PC. Well, it would not work, said no communication. It's USB connected, not wireless.
Everything I tried failed. Due to age, I started thinking about a new printer. Couldn't really find one I liked, so I decided to reinstall
the software & see what happens. That is not the way this works. So, I get on Epsons' website, & support. I find the software, firmware to download. Got that done, tried it out, humming like new.
Save my self maybe $100 or more.
Happy camper........ :D

Congrats on your perseverance paying off. I generally end up needing a stiff drink and throwing the equipment out anyway.

 That's the path I was expecting & had pretty much resigned myself to. Thought I'll see if there's a re-install or something,
nothing to lose. So I did, lucked out & got it fixed. Tried to pat myself on the back, but too stiff to reach it, LOL.

This is a common issue due to computer software updates that overwrite previous code. I've bumped into it several times over the years.

Sure glad that guns and ammo doesn't have the same problem. ;)
