Two more gone

Post by bandit1250 » Fri Jan 29, 2021 7:42 pm

I sold one of my CZ Ultra Lux 452's this evening. I still have it here until tomorrow when the LGS opens and we can get the transfer to the new owner. Then my grandson stopped by. He is the only one that helps me work on things here that need fixed. He is a good mechanic and is a full time worker at a big body shop rebuilding wrecked cars and trucks. There was a nice old Remington 510 sitting in the corner that I had redone the wood and he really liked it so I told him he could have it. Gave him some ammo and some rules on storing that rifle and ammo safely away from his son who has definitely earned his nick name "Dennis the menace" even though his name is not Dennis. When I see how much interest he has in the rifle and how he cares for it I will gift him with a repeater model. That old 510 is a shooter after I glued a set of Weaver bases on it and scoped it. It has the nicest trigger pull of all my 5-teen Remington's. Kind of hated to see the old Remington go but it made him happy so it was worth it.

You know what Bandit good on you for doing that. Because you get to see how it made them feel. Not only that it made you feel good doing it. Hard to experience those feelings when you cant see above the dirt anymore

Yep, after the grey hairs starting creeping into my scalp, I figured out it makes me feel better to give someone something that needs it, than receive it my self. Funny how that works, but it does.
Good job, Bandit!
Al's an old guy, he knows stuff too, LOL.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.
