Skin walker ranch

Post by Oldbrass » Tue Jan 26, 2021 2:54 pm

Watched a few episodes of skinwalker ranch on Discovery prime last night. First I've ever heard of it. Interesting story that the Navajo cursed the land so all kinds of spooky happenings. One interesting part was a previous owners cow was attacked by a large wolf, he shot it with 6:rounds of 357 magnum and 2 rounds from a 30-06 then it ran off (tough wolf) real or hoax or somewhere in between ? It sure beat watching the news.

The Tony Hillerman book series mentions this. Good reading.

I watched a series on the Discovery channel last year about Skin Walker ranch. It was fairly interesting. I don't have a real opinion about that series, but I do believe there are things that happen we don't have good explanations of. Twenty years ago I had an experience that shook me and I still can't explain.

At that time I lived on a lake in Georgia. At 11 pm I would walk my dogs around the loop of our road on the lake. Around the back side of the loop we were on the left side of the road when something caught the attention of both dogs. They both started barking and pulling me very hard at something across the road about 50 yards further up. When I looked up I saw the shape of what looked like a person standing about 10 feet off the right side. Only one light on the road and it was about 50 feet behind us, but it appeared the person was wearing a rain coat or top coat. I stared at the figure for about 5 seconds, but saw no other details.

I looked back at the dogs and tried to calm them down when they suddenly stopped their frenzy. When I looked up again what I saw was gone. We crossed the road and I continued walk the dogs in the direction of the shape I saw. As we approached the place on the right side of the road, both dogs veered to the left and would not go near the location I saw the figure. There was nothing there I could see except some small brush and trees. We were directly across from my house now and the wood lot was only about 30-40 yards wide and backlit from the flood lights on my house. The leaves on the ground were very dry and I can't imagine how someone could move across the area without rustling the leaves.

For the next two weeks I would purposely walk my dogs on the right side of the road and every time we neared the place I saw the figure, the dogs would veer away. I have no idea what I saw that night, but I do know that I saw something and the dogs did also.
