Here are a few of my wife’s yard rats.
Not sure if they are here for dinner or FOR dinner.
Sometimes she gets 7+ of these pests out there. Have to say tho, now and then we get an impressive Buck coming thru.

My sister had about a dozen elk hangin around her place. They have destroyed her garden 2 years in a row. I told her fill the freezer with meat but she didnt think that was a good idea.

Buster and I have been walking up on 5-6 deer lately on our woods walk behind our street and good sized too. Here in the city no hunting going on and plenty stuff to eat.

Brother in-law had a deer kill one of his dogs in their fenced yard.

Hey Al, thems’ some big rats you’re showing there.
Forty, it’s legal to hunt where I live but our community’s rules don’t allow it. So these are neighborhood deer that stay around moving from one hand out to another. My wife occasionally tossed them an apple so they come by regularly looking for a treat. There’re not so bad but the turkeys are a real pain as they leave such a mess. I have an airsoft rifle I use to keep them moving along. Doesn’t harm them but they don’t like it.
I’ll probably never have the pleasure of seeing an Elk in my yard as the nearest herd which is very small is probably 20 miles away. But we do get the occasional Moose wander thru. This bull was with a smaller bull and both were harassing a cow and hung around the neighborhood for a few days. Note the tag in the bull’s ear. A neighbor was able to read the number on the tag and called the game department and was told this guy was in the park of the small nearby town of Deer Park. Apparently he got tangled up in the swing set at the park and the game dept had to tranquilize him to get him free so they tagged him. Reminds me of the Farmers Insurance TV commercial showing the moose tangled up in a swing set.
