Jig saw puzzles

Anyone else work with jig saw puzzles? I used to do that years ago, got a wild hair up my back side & decided to try it again.
Went to Wally World this week & found one I liked, A Thomas Kinkaid pic, country setting. 1000 pcs. Looking like it's going to keep me busy for quite a while. Maybe it'll help keep me out of the nut house this winter. ( Maybe ),

The Fisher-Price ones are about my speed. I like the big chunky pieces, and there's usually only 4 or 5 of them.

LOL, well, I did consider that. May end up wishing I'd stayed on that path.

Ever watch "The Accountant" ? The scene of him as a kid doing a jigsaw puzzle. The missing piece.

growing up my folks always put out a large puzzle that the family worked on over Christmas .... the vast majority of the time, my contributions were pretty small ....

My Mom and Dad did lots of puzzles in their later years. Always thought is was great for both mental acuity and physical dexterity. Both are gone now but it seems like there was always a puzzle in work when I visited.

I have had multiple hand surgeries and in physical therapy they told me working puzzles would be good for my fingers.

I actually like puzzles especially when snowed in. I would rather puzzle than watch TV.

I wanted an older farm scene, this was as close as I found. I grew up on a small farm. Yep, I'm as country as a stick. Proud of it.

Tried a puzzle once but the cats were walking off with too many pieces or would just clear the board. Found other things to do.

Started another last night, about 2.5 hrs.
Then around 5 hrs today, getting close.

Wish we could get a Henry rifle jigsaw puzzle. I might even buy one of those.
