Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Got down to 65° last night although still a bit on the humid side. It's targeting 87° for the high today with only a 20% chance of rain. Got a new phone yesterday so hopefully the next outing at the range I can take and post the pictures.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
this morning was hot and humid but gave us a really pretty start for today .... following a quick breakfast our camping club gathered for devotional service prior to breaking camp and heading home .... the weekend temps in the 80's with high humidity may prove to be a very short transition from winter to summer .... breaking camp proved to be a 2 T-shirt operation .... rain/thunderstorms are slated to start moving in tonight and to hand around all week

Well I certainly hope you observed safe spacing standards.
Our church was scheduled to open tomorrow but someone got to them and that has been canceled.
The rain is here now and has been raining for almost twenty four hours. That's what's coming your way. We have almost three inches in the gauge so far. It is a nice slow rain however and we need it.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
The newly developed tropical storm Arthur in the southeast has quickly changed the weather forecast for CT. Today was supposed to be mostly cloudy, followed by two days of heavy rain. Not anymore. The rain that would have come is being pushed to the north.
It's quite bright and sunny now with a mild breeze and temps that are in the seventies. Tomorrow and Tuesday will have less sunshine, but rain is no longer likely.

we were well pleased with the way things were handled ..... Raleigh Oaks is a large campground ===> https://raleighoaksrvresort.com/ .... no clue how many sites they have but it has to be in the hundreds .... it was full, in fact they had a NO VACANCY sign out by the highway .... haven't been following the weather so I don't know the direction our rain is coming from .... Tropical Storm Arthur is supposed to brush the Outer Banks on Monday so we shouldn't get any rain from it

Overnight showers have moved out leaving CT with cloudy skies at daybreak. It was 53° this morning. Today's high temperatures will be in the mid to upper sixties. Chocolate Instant Breakfast drink starts it all off. Enjoy your day.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
63° mostly cldy. 1st cup of dark roast coffee went down fast. My old dog has congestive heart failure, and is on some meds to help with the fluid around his heart.
UT gave him 6 months 2 years ago. He's having a bad day. He's almost 13. He still gets around ok, but he has quite a few bad days. Anyway, when he doesn't feel well neither do I. Stay safe and healthy out there.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Tropical Storm Arthur is moving across the Outer Banks .... none of its rain is anticipated to get far enough inland to fall in our area .... that said, our projected 20% chance of rain is falling, water standing on our concrete patio .... 66 degrees on its way to 77 later today .... steady, heavy rain forecasted to move in around midnight and to hang around for a while .... sausage, eggs, sliced tomato, and Folgers in a Henry mug to start the day

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Morning coffee with friends on the forum.
Rained for twenty four hours here. Ended during the night. We got three and a half inches in the gauge.
I don't think we have any damage but won't know until I survey the driveway. It was a slow steady rain.
You guys in the East have it coming your way.
We're supposed to have clear skies and the upper fifties with wind today, and then warming up all week.
Need to find time to make the journey home to decorate family graves this week. We always do this for
Memorial Day.
My VFW Post will do the Memorial Services in thirteen different localities on Memorial Day.
We have a tradition of doing this and will not let the Covid interfere. What will be different is we will not
have the hundred member high school band to play the National Anthem, and we will travel in private
vehicles. I serve on the rifle squad. We publish the times we will be at each cemetery and when we get
there a crowd is always waiting. I feel it is an honor to participate.

Started off this morning at 67° and is targeting 92° for this afternoon. Starting to feel like summer. We have an expression about our four seasons: Almost summer, summer, still summer and Christmas.

In the mid 70s now, lite rain, just enough to get my grass to wet to mow. Decided to sharpen the chain on my big saw & have it ready
when weather permits. Cleaned the shop up a bit, guess I'll work on the 45/70 reloading for a while.

58° and wet outside. We only got a half an inch of rain overnight. I just finished a tasty cup of dark roast coffee, and Cookie is getting the stove fired up for breakfast. Indie Boy my 12 year old Toy Fox Terrier is feeling better. He's in his favorite position between my legs. No big plans today, and that's ok since yesterday I worked to hard. Today is shop day. I'll find something to work on. Cheers!0324201845_HDR.jpg

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It is sunny and warm here in Fla.about 70. It is about 8 am. I was thinking of taking my new Henry h012mx to the range today.
I have had some dental problems and the day I got the gun I knew I was going to have to wait for healing.
I usually put some of the items I would take to the range in the car the night before. It is an outdoor range, by the way it is open 24 hrs a day. Has lights.Covered shooting positions and fans, that help when it is hot.
Well I started to get twinges in the area that was worked on over two weeks ago. Figured it would be stupid to have that stock up on my cheek.
Not going today.
It's not easy but I am just going to have to wait.
