I go Mon. am to the VA & get my 2nd shot. At age 77 & type 2 diabetes, plus other ailments,I dare not do this. I had zero after effects after shot #1. No different than the gazillion shots the Army gave me before heading to 'Nam. At least I know the name of this one & what it's for. Had no issues with those either.

Got my 2nd Covid vaccine this am @ the VA. No problems thus far, didn't feel the needle. Had all my shots now, guess that means I can start school now, huh?

Best to you guys, my wife gets #2 tomorrow morning. Hearing of some possible light sickness that might accompany the second shot but that’s sure better than the alternative.

My nurse gave me a list of possible minor issues, that could occur. She said I could feel a bit tired. I said, I always feel tired. Never notice it.
Just glad I did it, got it behind me, move on.
Plus, you get to get really close to a nurse.

That’s funny. When my wife got her first shot she was very impressed with the young National Guard guy who administered it to her. Said he was cute. :o

LOL, not surprised, nurses are special people. My regular nurse, after she finished my other shot, set & we talked for a while, just about stuff. She drives 1 hr & 1/2 one way to work.

back in mid January I filled out a form requesting Covid shots and hadn't heard a single word in response .... yesterday we received an email requesting additional so that we could be placed on the list to receive shots .... filled out a form for each of us and submitted it ... with in a few minutes we each received an email saying :

"Thank you for completing the screening and request for a COVID-19 vaccination. Your submission has been received and is approved. The date and time of your submission has been recorded, and you will be contacted as additional appointment times are released. Please submit the form only once.

What is Next?
As additional appointments become available, emails will be sent to people on the waiting list in the order these registrations were received. This process will continue for the foreseeable future, so please be patient if you are not contacted immediately. You will be notified when it is your turn."

no clue how many hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands or more folks are on the "waiting list" ahead of us .... we have just over 4 weeks left on this trip .... depending on if/when should get a call with an appointment to get the first shot, we may end up extending our time .... time will tell

My wife as well as my brother and his wife all got their second shots yesterday. All three are feeling fine other than the typical sore muscle in the arm. None have had any other symptoms that some people have mentioned, ie fever, mild flu and or cold symptoms. Fingers crossed.... :D

Was scheduled to get my 1st last Saturday but it was postponed 3 weeks due to lack of vaccine. I am on the list for 4 sites.

I get my second shot in a week and I must say that I have a feeling of well being already.
The Doc said the shot builds immunity a little more every day and the second shot is just a booster.
So I may be wrong, but I feel like I already have some protection. I like that.

Can't say that I feel any different physically, but mentally, a bit more at ease. And, yep, I kinda like that. :D

oh well .... a few hours ago Maureen received a call .... her appointment for her first covid shot has been postponed from tomorrow morning to March 3r .... sadly, that eliminates the possibility of her getting the second shot while we are still in Texas .... naturally we are disappointed and will have to start checking on what we will need to do to make arrangements to get our shots after we get back home

Would not blame you for waiting anyway Jim. From what I have seen on the news, there is yet another varient that has been found, and they are looking at adjusting the vaccines, and or recommending a third booster.
They are about to release the J&J vaccine as well.
IMO, Carol and I are waiting on more results and studies. We have come this far by practicing ALL of the PPE recommendations, and have yet to get sick. YES, we are in the high risk category, however, I want more feedback and analysis before having chemicals injected into my body. Just my $.02.

Well, my feelings on those shots are that they can put them where the sun don't shine.
I've been exposed to the virus more times than I have fingers and yet to have one symptom.
Wife had it, her mother, her father lost his life from complications from it, her grandmother, her brother and sil, and two of their three children all had it.
I was around ALL of them, yet to be sick.
So NO I'm not taking one till they arrest me and have me in cuffs and shackles, and holding me down and I can't get loose.

My MIL got her first shot and was sicker the next three days than she was when she had the Damn Virus, arm all swollen.
Second one had her sick for one day.

No shot here Boys, nope, nada, not happening, and I couldn't care less what you think about.
