28 here this am and headed to 41. Supposed to be warmer on Sat hopefully a trip out to the grasslands to test out some of those 180 grain red head bullets.

33 and overcast. My Gadsen flag cup has been filled twice this morning with Italian dark roast as usual.
My boy brought me over some more once fired brass. I reckon I'll fire up the tumbler in the shed today. Finally found the primers I use, so the reloading process is ready to go. I usually wait for really nasty days to reload. Something about watching the bad weather outside while inside a nice warm shop pulling on the old Rock Chucker. Can't beat it.

We are lucky as no direct threat to us the major fires are a long way north and east of us.
The country they are burning in is inaccessible for the majority, not much crews can do other than wait for it to reach more accessible areas and then try to protect property.

Really hard to imagine the intensity of the Australian forest fires 220 talked about just before Christmas. Kind of like the West Coast fires we hear of in the U.S. The last 2-3 days there have been some major news outlets reporting of worsening of these Aus fires; one expression was "a blast furnace." At this time, no near end in sight and concern for many folk stranded on beaches unable to escape because of roads burned out. The reports comes along with both concern and praise for the efforts of the Australian firefighters. Sure do hope for safety of all involved....
