Re: What's for supper?
the only way I eat it is breaded and deep fried to a crunch in every bite
Re: What's for supper?
I like that fried okra. But my last wife use to do okra boiled and that to me looked like that slime you see trailing one of those big slugs we use to have in the PNW

Yep!
I didn't lay any thing out to cook this morn, so I guess a frozen Chicken pot pie.

Re: What's for supper?
Couple of nights ago my wife made her awesome home made Mac and cheese. Add a ham steak and it’s a plate of wonderfulness.

Re: What's for supper?
I like okra any way you cook it. During hay baling season, Mom made boiled okra. I would salt it down good and lap it up. It helps you regain some electrolytes you lost in that 200* barn throwing 100 lb maize bales to the top of the rafters! This was before Gatorade.
We ate at our eldest grandson favorite Mexican joint last night. He had flown non-stop from Edinburg, Scotland. He had spent nearly 3 months there with his fiancee. They are trying to get her over here on a student visa. They would like to wed when she finishes her degree. He got to see what a total government shutdown looks like. Socialism at its finest.

Re: What's for supper?
Cooked supper for a change. Pinto beans, mashed potatoes, creamed style corn, little sweet gherkins, bread, diet coke,
Lousiana hot sauce on the beans. Not bad at all.

Re: What's for supper?
Nothing. I'm still stuffed from lunch. Went for a motorcycle ride with some friends and stopped of a great hamburger. 8 oz. burger with cheese, fired onions, mushrooms, lettuce and tomato with fries on the side. Overall a great day.

Re: What's for supper?
Made us a homemade meatloaf, baked potato and fresh cauliflower. That and kick back and watch the Dodgers pre-season game. And then, zzzzzz.
