the Canes are up 2 - 1 at the end of the second .... fast, yep .... they were a tad bit timid the 1st period but in the 2nd they played their game.... their coach, Rod Brind’Amour, was a player on the only other Cane's team that won the cup .... he was known for going wide open all the time and he's built the current team in that image .... the Bruins are one heck of a team and deserved being where they are in the playoffs

Don't think they can compete w/o the power play though. Canes are so much faster. No penalties = no contest. JMO!

the puck drops at 3PM today on local NBC stations for game 2 with the Blackhawks .... as noted above the Canes played well in the first couple of periods in game 1 but penalties killed them at the start of the 3rd

the Canes came out skating and hitting hard but the Bruins took it in stride .... have to give it to them, they gave the Canes an old fashion thrashing today ....

heck of a match, 2 - 1 for Chicago .... the Bruins have one heck of a goalie .... the story of the game was once again, too many penalties

Hoping St Louis is on top of it or my interest will be gone.

well ....their season has come to an end .... for a team that when the season began wasn't even mentioned as a contender, they did well .... too much time in the penalty box once again

If the playoffs are good, the finals are GREAT! St. Louis is quite the story. Love the play-by-play guy. Should be lots of fun to watch, and there goes StL, up by one!

Great game so far! Gotta love that Blue Goalie, holding his own as a rookie @ Boston! Now it's a 20-minute game!

I'm from SW Missouri but never have been able to get excited about the Blues. I'll be rooting for Boston.
