I'm a fan of hers but am the first to admit she is just and average driver.

An average driver for a shoe-string team maybe, but she belongs to an elite team.

I've got to give her credit though that she is doing better than I expected when she first entered the sport, but I am no fan of hers. She has a long history of quickly blaming others for her mishaps. Way back to her go-kart days with Sam Hornish Jr.

I am still a fan of Tony Stewart, ever since he came to the Winston Cup series which is now Sprint, of course. Before him I liked Harry Gant and Mark Martin. I believe now that Tony is retiring next year, that it will be Carl Edwards. I just like the guy.

Danica Patrick has my respect. When you consider she is only about 98 lbs, soaking wet, it amazes me that she can hang in there for a 500 mile race with other talented male drivers who are in top physical condition.

Danica is also a very skilled driver and really understands road race courses.

historically, among the Sprint Cup drivers, she ranks about 20th .... for my money, when it comes to "Stock" cars, she ranks about 20th .... that puts her in some pretty select company .... to move up, I believe she has to get tougher and more aggressive .... don't know that she's capable of doing so

There is a big jump in talent when you hit the top ten. To me she is just an "also ran" driver.

so all drivers outside of the top 10 are "also run" drivers ..?.. even with that being the case, those drivers are all among the best out there

It's a great track to watch a race, just off interstate route 1 in Delaware. I have been there a few times, camping with friends, arriving on Thursday afternoon and leaving on Monday morning. A few years ago they added more seats in the upper level. My wife wasn't a fan until I took her there for her first race and we had good seats right at the start-finish line and she got in her seat and looked over at all the cars lined up and when she saw all the nice paint schemes and all the excitement going on around the track plus when they started their engines, she was an instant fan. The camping is nice for the few days but the only trouble is, if you want to get a decent nights sleep it can be hard because of all the loud music and screaming and sometimes a rock band that people set up there. It usually goes on until the wee hours of the morning. I wouldn't care, if only it was country western music.

Danica finished 13th .... we only needed one more big wreck ..

A great Dover race, right to the finish. I didn't want to see all the wrecks but it seemed like everyone was ok. I am glad that there was no wreck at the finish. Glad to see Kenseth get his first win. Larson raced him clean to the finish but I thought for a moment that he was going to turn him to try to get the win for himself.

Yeah, the 20 finally did it and had no bad luck this time.

I didn't count them all, but I believe over half the field was involved in some kind of wreck out there.

Strange how Jimmie Johnson's shifter got hung up going from 2nd to 3rd.

Sorry to see Tony Stewart go out with a blown out rear end.
The restart where Jimmy Johnson got rear ended after his missed shift was a shame for Truex. He really had a shot at the win I find myself pulling for him every week now.
And I think it is just a matter of time before the rookies in the 24 and 42 see a checkered flag.

Truex and Kenseth have had some of the worst luck this year, although Matt finally broke through this weekend.

Hopefully Truex's bad luck will break soon too.

I like about half the field, but Truex is also one of my favorites.

Yeah, one thing we all have learned about Hendrick through the years is that if a driver is not up to Hendrick "standards", he will eventually get rid of them (unless you are Dale, Jr). I've been wondering about Kasey for a while now. I also agree that Harvick is like the Earnhardt's, Chevrolet only. I always thought Tony was that way too, but maybe just as a driver and not an owner.

Getting back to Hendrick, he once let Kyle Busch go. I'm wondering if he ever regretted that, lol. Kyle is one of the hottest drivers on the circuit now.
