About the blinds.....They are Plantation Shutters.

They are one of the products we manufacture at my factory. We've been building Shutters for 20 years.

Ah, finished! An ovation for the renovation -- great job!
Although I like the look of nice wood floors, the living room rug you have looks really cool, too. Just caught my eye.
