The Adult Evening Beverage
Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Looks like a good time Randy. Had a couple Sharks last night and some Rittenhouse Rye to go with it. Was a crapola day here with snow flurries and cold weather. Have I ever mentioned snow sucks

That’s just wrong to greet you with snow and cold after avoiding it most of the season.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
I did a lot of yard work today and rewarded myself with a Maker's Mark with a bottle of water chaser.
But that was only the start. We purchase a quarter of beef at a time from a local farmer and I always wanted to try
Ox Tails, so we had the butcher package some up. Carol put them in the slow cooker along with onions, carrots, garlic
and some other seasonings, and we had them for dinner tonight along with steamed cauliflower with cheese sauce and some
mashed potatoes.
OUTSTANDING!
I sipped my M and M waiting for it to be served and the aroma was wonderful.
I think that is one of those cuts that gets thrown away and what a waste that is.
Try it some time.

It's been a cold, damp, misty day at our place. I started to do some yard work but decided drinking coffee in the loading lounge was a better idea.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Well, I drove the RV home this afternoon. Full service on both engine chassis, and genset. When you pay for all
new filters it gets kinda spendy, but well worth it. Lose an engine and you're out over $20,000.00 so call it insurance.
We also had a whole side slide that had a motor out. That one hurt. The motor is $2000.00 without labor.
Anyway, it's home and Carol is happy again.
So after a busy day I had a nice Miller High Life followed by Shrimp and asparagus in Alfredo sauce and now I think I'll have a
Yuengling as well.
I've earned it.
G'Nite all.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
I finished raking the back yard and I put the dock in. Lot done.
Now I'm showering and having a Maker's Mark and water before dinner.
PS, I saw a lot of Mergansers down on the lake. They won't stay, they're
just passing through.

Some days are diamonds, some days are...........................
Well, anyway, My Explorer is in the shop which should have been a minor repair which has turned ugly.
I'm not even sure what's wrong now. Neither are they except it won't run.
I did put up a new American Flag today to replace the one that had worn thin, along with a new flag pole
with a solar light on top. That was a plus.
Then heavy weather moved in and I put the RV and tractor and trailer away in the shed.
Now I'm contemplating what tomorrow will bring with a shot of MM and water.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Sorry to hear about the Explorer Coop and I feel your pain. It sure seems like right now there is more vehicle recalls than ever before. GM is having a fun time with there 6.2 gas engine deal losing its entire bottom end. Fords and GM are having diesel fuel pump issues and I read the other day that a group of people have filed a lawsuit against Ford for their V-6 turbo engines failing because the valves are to hard and coming apart. Me I just opened a Modelo Negra. Just got back from a trip to Costco because my hearing aids were giving me a bunch of static. While I was doing that my wife was shopping. Its flower time and she got some. I found one goodie for me though a 1.75 of Knob Creek 10 bucks cheaper than the local liquor store. One jumped right in my basket. Three hundred bucks later we were headed home. I might need a shot to forget about the hit. Hearing aids seem better now but I might be buyin another set for a back up.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 6:26 pmSome days are diamonds, some days are...........................
