Like Al said, prayers up for you and yours BRM.
Al, I like the Double Oak, I'm just sipping on m y first cold one of the evening.
Grandson had a ballgame tonight.
Mark, hope it's not as bad as they predict.
Be raining here beginning overnight.

Best to you and your granddaughter BRM. Just not right!brm4450 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 9:01 pmGood evening, Hatch, Randy,SeeBee, Mark and BigAl and to this forum. I need to explain my lack of posting. Been battling some physical problems. But the thing that takes my time is my shooting partner (my granddaughter) is battling the affliction (gastroparesis) again. Kind of worried about her. I think I’ll have a WT Rye on the rocks, saludos
Enjoyed a few colds ones up in camp this week. The guy who lives across the road stopped by and we always make time for a beer and a chat.

Good evening, I spent a little time at the bench this afternoon, then I got pulled away to run an errand for the wife.
I see where there is some serious rainfall over near Mark.
I-40 at the border of TN/NC is closed.
Prayers up for those involved.
I'm enjoying my usual cold one, and waiting to hear from my buddy. Salute!

Just a quick check in. Cheers to all. Lying here in darkness..except for this phone. Still no power. Cannot even leave the neighborhood because of downed trees. No businesses open from what I'm hearing, even if we could get out. Word has it that the local water treatment plant is having problems. We've been asked to ration....
Oh well...enough for now. Tomorrow's another day...right?.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
sure hope things are looking up for Mark and the folks that have suffered the impact of Helene .... we got plenty of rain and some wind but the brunt of the storm passed through our state a couple of hundred miles west of us .... earlier this week on Tuesday I had surgery to replace my right knee .... 2 days in the hospital and the rest at home with 2 days of physical therapy .... I'm recovering slowly and haven't spent much time on a computer .... 7 years ago when I had the left knee replaced, I was in the hospital for 3 days and have come to believe that the extra day of care in the hospital really speeded up my recovery .... I'm scheduled to be at home with 3 sessions of physical therapy per week through Oct 10th when I'll transition out of in home therapy to traveling to a dedicated facility .... unsure how long the therapy will continue .... Cat 4 Helene really made a mess of things in the western NC mountains .... from what we've heard, most roads are blocked and its going to take a good while to fully restore power

Haven’t been around lately, my shooting partner (granddaughter) is having severe health problems again, parents taking her to big city for more surgery. So the missus and I looking after her little sister and house I been busy, sorry for dropping my problems on this forum. Think I’ll have an Irish tonite, maybe a double or (triple), to Randy, Jim, Al, Hatch, Mark and this great forum! Sláinte

I wish you and the Misses well and the strength to guide you through what must be very hard to continually go through. I hope the big city Drs will be able to make her well.
