More rain in KC for the next 4-5 days, starting in a few hours (minutes?).

Sorry for all the rain you guys are still getting. We certainly have had our share the last year or so.
Finally, into a dryer spell now though. Not far from JBar, so forcast is about the same as he reported. hope it lasts!

all of the rain and rough weather out there has to be tough on the crews trying to reopen I-29

As of last week, I-29 was reopened, but I'd check after this weekend, as we're suppose to get another 2-4" between now and Tuesday in KC and the surrounding areas.

Interesting night last night in this part of KC. Tornado warnings, sirens going off! All "radar indicated," which means "the wind is blowing really hard," but no verified touch-downs that I've heard of so far.

Lots of rain, wind and lightning, but no hail (surprising), and they're saying tonight we get a chance at an instant replay!

hot, humid, dry ... pretty well sums it up for our part of NC with no change on the horizon

WOW! Cleared up last evening and today is bright sunshine and up to 70. Course they're predicting rain again next week.

Going to travel down home today, about 95 miles, and decorate my families grave sites for Memorial Day. This is our yearly
pilgrimage. Then in the Fall we will go again and put things away for the Winter. This means a lot to me somehow.

My Father and his brother are both there side by side with their spouses and are both WWII vets. Also a Great Grandfather
who served in the Civil War and many many of my parents friends who also served.

Then tomorrow I'll watch the races, and on Memorial we will observe that special day.

My Father's family was 14 children and all but two of the 9 sons were in WWII as well as all 5 Brothers in Law.
My Grandfather was in The Rough Riders in the Spanish American War. I should also mention that three of my
Father's Sister in Laws were Army Nurses in Europe.

My Wife's Father was a Doctor and her Mother a Nurse in Patton's Third Army in Europe and her Uncle a Paratrooper
in the 82cd Airborne. Another Uncle was an eye Surgeon in the Third Army as well.

Surprisingly they all came home from the war with only two wounded. My Dad was one of the wounded.

I was the first Grandchild to go to VN and many more followed.

50 and overcast. Maybe 57 later. Maybe 75 tomorrow and Monday. To those have served or have/had a loved one who served thank you for your service and sacrifice.

Don't know the exact temp but we'll say we're in the summer season already. Factoring humidity the "feels like" temperature, if one believes that, has been over 100 for the past several days.

they are calling for record breaking high temps today in our area .... will shortly be switching from coffee in a Henry Mug to a large tumbler of iced tea
