Happy Mother's Day everyone.
I took it out of the dish drainer, so it's coffee again with plain Jane today. It's a beautiful day here.
I hope yours is nice. Time to call mom now.

Re: Our mornin Coffee
Here the way I make a perfect cup of coffee ............ I brew a fresh cup of coffee ever cup . The coffee brewing kit cost under $ 5 at your super market . Three tricks , I use only use bottled water and NEVER pour water over 200 degrees over grounds . I nuke the water in measuring cup for 2 1/2 mins for 1 1/2 cup of water to where it don't boil and last only pour enough water over ground that I just grind to wet them all and wait 20 second and then finish pouring . Now you have a perfect cub of coffee without the high cost of Starbucks . Below is how I do it and the coffee maker I use . I have also have a 4 cut pour over maker for when I have guess

That commercial makes me want to go out and buy one. I had been making my tea with too hot of water. Some of the hikers are Oriental and gave me tips. Second tip was to buy leaves and not tea bags with "dust" in them.

I buy the loose tea sometimes and use that coffee maker to filter the tea leaves after I brew the tea . Walmart has the cone #2 coffee filter for 100 of them for $1.89 .Sir Henry wrote:That commercial makes me want to go out and buy one. I had been making my tea with too hot of water. Walmart sells it with a cup for $5

Heading to fix my second Henry mug of double mocha this cool, rainy morning.
I really liked DD's picture and story about "plain Jane" over the weekend. I plan to keep my eye out for one of those cool-looking mugs. It would look great next to the Henry on my mug tree.

Re: Our mornin Coffee
Morning coffee with a mean chihuahua. I have my coffee and usually a pastry and then I always put a treat in the chihuahua's dish so she doesn't bug me for a bite of my pastry. However, as you can see by the expression on her face, she dares anyone to try to take it away. She is really a nice little girl, but, on occasion, develops what we refer to as "chihuahua attitude." She can strike like a snake at times like this.

Re: Our mornin Coffee
I agree, TGR. This is the very same coffee maker we used for about two decades on our overnight boating trips. It makes great coffee, quickly, one cup at a time. Our's is still in the kitchen cupboard, but hardly get's noticed anymore. Maybe it's time to put it back into service.tx gunrunner wrote:Here is the way I make a perfect cup of coffee...
