It was a two cup morning for me. First one at 4:45 after my bride woke up coughing hard at 4:30. She isn't feeling well and may be heading back to see the doctor. Second cup at 9:15 on the way to teach a morning yoga class.
Home now, Love of my life is feeling better but not by much. She has some high test cough syrup with codeine that is helping.
Beautiful day outside so might get in some needed clean up of down limbs in the patch of trees behind the house.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)

Even though it's after noon, I'm having coffee in my absolute favorite of all times mug.

I call her plain Jane.

It's the ubiquitous diner mug from Syracuse China. They were big in the industry and made in Upstate NY. They went out of business. I believe the name was purchased, but I can't say for sure.
I bought plain Jane at the factory store in Syracuse. I got a cup and saucer in a traditional pattern for the fiance. It was a sad occasion actually. The news about the plant closing had come out. I was in Syracuse and visited the store, just to get something before it was gone forever. Next time you are at a diner, restaurant, or event, turn over the plate or coffee cup and see if it's not Syracuse China. I do that where ever I am. I have found it all over the world.

It's a beautiful day here. I hope it is where you are too. Enjoy the day. I've already mowed two lawns and am getting ready for work.

Sad to see the great American Businesses close down.
We have a set of Oneida flatware from before they shutdown and the name went to China. Friends of ours Live in Oneida and their families were three generation employees of the company.

Woke up this morning hearing car tires on a wet road and thought another rainy day. Then when the sun came up I thought this may be a sunny day after all. Looks to be a really nice day. After 2 Henry mugs of black coffee and a yogurt and a banana I will wait for my better half to get up and maybe take her turn at fixing break fast. We are still deciding what we are getting into after church is over. It may be a good day to wash the heavy pollen off the vehicles. I worked on my checkering project last night until about midnight and I got sick of looking at it so I might just forget about it for today. Couldn't figure out if the lines were crossed or my eyes were going crossed. No wonder checkering is expensive to get done. Every one have a wonderful Sunday and make it special for your Mom if you are lucky enough to still have her.

Dave,

I remember that famous china company and several other things that you write about from back east.

They made china for the USN for a time frame and many other famous places over the years.

I had some plain, white mugs like yours for many years and another shape mug that I had on some sail and power boats too.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you Moms out there.

I never had children but I did have some sweet puppies in my life.

I was blessed to have a wonderful Mother who died in 1969 from cancer. Happy Mother's Day to my Mom in heaven. You are still loved and missed.

Thanks, Cate & Bandit,
I echo both of your wishes for all the Moms. It is a special day to celebrate these special women:

~~~~"Happy Mother's Day to all of you Moms out there."
~~~~~~~~"Every one have a wonderful Sunday and make it special for your Mom if you are fortunate enough to still have her."

I just checked a while cup I have and it was made by Traditions. Donna collects dishes and she has dozens hanging on the wall most were made in Italy. Well I'm having tea out of a Pendleton cup that was made in China.
