Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
"Morning Coffee" has taken on a new a meaning in this winter storm. I feel for the people along the Easts Coast getting all the snow. I used to live in that part of the world - I have COPD and cold/damp is bad for me. Moved to South Texas to get away from Cold/Damp.
I guess I'm used to the weather here now - 40 degrees seem quite cold to me. A couple of years ago, up north, we'd go to the shotgun range when it warmed up to a balmy 40!
Different coffee today - we bought a grinder and beans...may not go back to "regular" coffee. Need to get a cup that stays warm longer, or drink faster.

1:40pm and it's still snowing steadily.BrokenolMarine wrote:They predicted snow for this Sunday Morning and said it should start around 740. Calling for 18 to 24 inches. At 742am it started falling and within a half hour it was really coming down. By 830, the ground is covered. I suspect we'll get good coverage. They are calling for a hard winter, I wouldn't doubt it. Funny, they are calling for heavy rain tomorrow, so the snow might go away, but if the temps don't rise, we could be in for DEEP snow. LOL.
I like the snow.

Woke up to 43° this morning and high is supposed to be 50°. That's a "cold" day for this part of the country.

It finally stopped snowing about 9pm... I'm guessing 24 inches, with drifts much higher.BrokenolMarine wrote:BrokenolMarine wrote:They predicted snow for this Sunday Morning and said it should start around 740. Calling for 18 to 24 inches. I like the snow.
Might be more, have to measure at first light if it doesn't start raining overnight.
. We lost power at about 545pm... It's nearly 10pm, and the genny is still running.
The power is still out, but the generac is still doing it's thing.
From the snow on the ramp, looks like we got between twenty four to thirty inches in the fourteen hour snowfall.
Lot of folks will have to be careful on the roads. Fortunately, we don't have anywhere we have to go on our schedule this...
Month.

I like snow too. Rarity here, makes it a novelty. AND a hazard for those who don't know how to drive in it.
