237 miles about 4 hours from the house. But we went to a friends house and stayed a day. If we hadnt of done that we could of beat the wind. But we had a good time and my wife liked stopping there for a break after a couple of days driving. I really dont blame her sitting in that passengers seat is nothing but boring. Harder to sit there than behind the wheel.

Nothing wrong with visiting with friends, the older we get the fewer chances we get.
Going east before long to visit the daughter and grandsons, suppose to be a granddaughter also by the time I get there.
Past due.
Anyway have made plans to meet up with one on the way for a little visit myself.

Good idea Al. We were north bound on I95 a couple of weeks ago and a so called cyclone was providing us with 50 mph winds
from the west. That's when we decided to turn northwest into the wind and forget going any further north. Glad we did. It was a really wild ride going north.

Some thunderstorms and a tornado south of the daughter and family a little bit ago. Wife is over there visiting, she just sent this pic.
