Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Spent the evening at the Grand Ol Oprey and now I'm sipping a martini. It's rained all day here in Nashville and although it's been in the 60s, raw.
Saw the Eli Young band, Scotty McCreery, John Langston, but the biggest hit of the night was Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts. He was great!
Also Jeannie Seely and Gary Mule Deer, (he's funny).

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
I thought I would check in here since it's been a while. I'm enjoying a rare glass of Canadian Whiskey early tonight as I only have one drink if I have anything at all. I'm making a vegan dinner from the 21 day diet book that my better half wants to use.
I hope your granddaughter is doing all right BRM. She has been in my thoughts for as long a I have known of the difficulty.
Cheers to everyone as I prep tonight's dinner. This cookbook calls for a before dinner drink in my opinion. I just wish I could enjoy it more. Salute amigos.

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Just getting in, been working with nephew again this week, he called about 30 mins. before quitting time.
Said knock off early and come by the office lounge and I'll buy y'all a drink.
Had a couple bourbon and cokes, so when I came in I poured a Makers Mark and coke. Salute!

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Well. well. well. Left Nashville this morning and got 20 miles south and at 70 MPH, blew the left front tire.
Spent 3 hours on the shoulder and for only $1103.00 we were back on the road.
We're in Perry Georgia and have had some Gumbo and on my second martini now. I may need more.
75 degrees and the windows are open.

You have no choice when sitting on the road side. They must have built the entire service call into the tire as no way a tire by itself costs a 1100

Re: The Adult Evening Beverage
Most folks say replace after 7 years. Mine are 8 years old and look like new so I thought I could get another year out of them. What I really think happened was the terrible potholes around Nashville caused the blowout.
These are very large truck tires, 22.5 inch, and pretty expensive by themselves. The other thing was the fellow who did the work had his behind a mere four feet or so from passing traffic at 70mph. I told him he was a gutsy
little bastard and gave him a tip. He earned it. He mounted the new tire to the rim right there in the ditch.
