Low to mid 90s today. Humidity should be a wet blanket all day.

Seems we might be heading into fall. Weather past few days has been in low 70's and yesterday never made it out of the 60's. Although it is supposed to make high 80's today, the rest of the week is decreasing highs in the 70's. Tea in 'Poppies in Blue' cup.

Blue sky this morning with a few high and hazy feathered out clouds. 59 currently with 78 the supposed high.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
It was beautiful last week. Brutal this week. High nineties in both temps and humidity. The heat index was "feels like" 105. Walking from the house to the shop... gasp... gasp... ahhhhh 70 degrees.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
We had 73° at 7:00 a.m. this morning with 100% humidity. Uuugh! Now it's 84° and the humidity has dropped down to 73%. Hopefully going to the range tomorrow. I've been letting work cut into my range time.
Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
After days of brutal temps and high humidity, we got a severe thunderstorm last night. Winds, driving rains, late night light show. Mother Nature partying at her best. No damage, but washed away the heat, and we should see a cooler day today.
Coincidentally, the HVAC guy comes today to do the winter service/pm on the house/shop systems.
Could be he is right on time. Want to be ready when the low temps and deep snow roll in.
Home brewed McDs coffee in our favorite mugs to start the day.

59 and little bit of drizzle in the air. Maybe make 73 today. Slow morning. Feels like a 2nd cup of tea coming on.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
The young man came out today to do the semi annual service on the HVAC on both the shop's mini split system and the home system. Three and a half hours later, we were ready to greet winter and get thru the last weeks of summer. He did a very thorough job, even disassembling the furnace to check the burner. Clean bill of health. He will be back in April for the spring prep.BrokenolMarine wrote:After days of brutal temps and high humidity, we got a severe thunderstorm last night. 43 last night. 51 at the moment. Maybe 73ish this afternoon. Done with tea, time to head out. Working on getting the firewood in and re-rocking paths worn down before the fall rains start.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Sunny and 60's. Been working like a dog for 2 days cutting dead trees down and taking out some nasty thick hedge that drifts snow where I don't want it every winter. My arms are vibrating from holding a chainsaw for hours. Lumberjack I'm not. Might get to range later if I can lift my rifle...

Sunny and 60's here also. Cleaning stove pipe (nasty job) got a couple repairs to do but it's new pipe next year for sure.

Just got back in to the house from a pre dawn check on the cattle here at the home place. Our fall calving cows and heifers are starting to calve now. The heifers especially require vigilant watching as sometimes they need assistance. Been pulling night checks last ten days or so usually around bed time then again at 2 am and 5:30 am or so. Glad to have my good wife to help. It sure cuts in on a man's sleep. But all part of the job. Got to head out and start checking cows on the other places now. Have a good Labor Day.

Overcast and cool on the Gulf coast. Tried putting more coffee in the coffee maker today - I like it and think I'll continue to make it stronger.
Didn't sleep well last night - ordered a Henry .22 magnum from Brownells yesterday. They have them on sale this weekend. Guess I was up thinking of the new rifle all night.

Clear and 68 now. Looking for low 80's for the highs today. Lots of rain in the forecast for the coming days. Just got back in from pulling last patrol of the night on Cows that are calving. Was going to get a little shuteye before daybreak but I got to posting on the forum when I got back to the house so probably just get the coffee going.
