Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
It was so hot here yesterday, that a bird was using a pot holder to pick up worms..Just saying.

Temps in the 70's last few days. Off to the Calgary Stampede with my wife Monday. Spend the day seeing the sights.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Perfect way to say!
Last Saturday we had a "cool" front slide into our area, which lasted only through Sunday afternoon. Actually sat out on the patio Saturday evening...'twas very pleasant.
Today we ramp up again for another 10-day bout with the forecast of near 100* each day...narry a drop of rain predicted.
This will be another one of "those summers to remember!"

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Changed our Calgary Stampede plan to Tuesday instead of today. A little cooler tomorrow. So this looks like a good day to clean my rifle and pistol. Temps in the 80's. Tea in the Henry mug this morning. Next weekend I will be moving a big bunch of cows for a couple of days. Life is good.

80° with 89% humidity. Went out and cut soggy lawn grass while it wasn't raining. We have an 80% chance of rain again today. It' s rained everyday since July 4th. The range is too muddy to shoot rifle so I may go and shoot some pistol at the steel targets today. I was going to do that yesterday but got to doing other chores instead.

77° with 90% humidity. Finally going out this morning to shoot GP 100 .357 and the S&W model 31 (32 S&W Long) at some steel targets. I'll get out when the range line is "Hot" as I won't have to set up targets.

We're still stuck in June weather here. 54'F last night with rain. Today, cloudy with a high expected of 77.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Yesterday, ran errands that ran into early afternoon. Thought I would be able to work outside in the shady spots when I got home. Was 96 and discovered I wasn't yet acclimated to warmer temps, even if shaded. Looks like the hold-over June weather with the cooler temps has finally departed. Our 1.5 months of summer is here.
Today's target is 92, but will likely hit 96 or 97. Finished with tea so on me way out.

Switched over this morning to a mug of coffee cause wife baked up some croissants with a little bit of chocolate in them. Yum. Gotta get out and get some chores done this morning before it gets too hot. Forecast is 96, which is hot for here. I know not so hot compared to elsewhere.

Done with outdoors labor for the day. Got too hot sooner than expected. Deck thermometer says 97. Local weather 'realfeel' says 101. Got my shower and ready for a siesta nap.

It's supposed to be 75 today and clear. That would be nice.

Cooler today, maybe make into the low 80's. Tea almost done and then headed out to my summer project.

Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
Did a property walk about before starting today's work on the summer project. Had a female wood duck swim very close to check me out and them swam off quick but casual. A little further on I came around a corner of brush and startled a white tail doe and her two fawns. Both happened so quickly I was not able to get pictures.

96° here but the humidity is down to a low 55%. That's low humidity for this area.

7-19-18 .... heavy thunderstorms rolled through in the early morning hours .... the area covered in this link ===> https://www.argusleader.com/story/news/ ... 799679002/ <=== is a few minutes south of where we are camped .... when it hit where we are there was some thunder and lightening and heavy rain but no really strong winds .... very comfortable temps but more thunderstorms predicted for this afternoon
Re: Our mornin Coffee and Weather
That's a lot of water. Comfortable temps, how about the temp of the rain itself? I love to stand and get soaked if the rain itself is warm.JEBar wrote:7-19-18 .... heavy thunderstorms ...https://www.argusleader.com/story/news/ ... 799679002/ .... very comfortable temps but more thunderstorms predicted for this afternoon
