to say he dominated today's race would be a pretty big understatement because Chase won all 3 stages as he lead 80 of the 90 laps .... it was good to see younger drivers like William Byron and Bubba Wallace use their fenders to get Kyle's attention .... sure hope doing so will become a strong trend .... don't think anyone can be surprised that Kyle huffed up and refused post race interviews

congrats to Harvick and his #4 team for taking the checker at Michigan .... sorry to say, it was pretty much of a ho-hum race that was settled on fuel mileage .... hated to see the 48 have trouble early .... afraid that they pretty much have to win one of the remaining races to get into the chase

Ryan Newman's 12 place finish along with Bowyer's bad luck now has him in a solid 15th position in the Chase.

Yeah, not looking good for Johnson with only 3 Chase Races left.

Looks like Keelan had a good time.

with so few races left before the chase, Bristol has to be a major source of stress for the drivers anywhere near the cut line ....

Went there once, sat in the family section, about 25 or 30 rows up from the exit of turn 4.

What a place !!

I was wondering about that. I figured Dale would show up, but if he got the offer, he probably decided to just take it, probably also for his families sake. As I'm sure it was pretty traumatic for them. At least they won't have far to travel home. My guess is that they will drive.

Went out to dinner last night and missed the end of Bristol.
Know Kyle was out, but who won?

Dinner was worth it.

Tyler Reddick’s No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet came from the rear of the field and won it .... Riddick had the word “BEAST” in big block letters on its hood Friday night. .. :D .. Kyle lost an engine and finished 29th

Thanks. Well, at least Kyle didn't get to beat up on the children. Should be a fun one tonight.
When Kyle runs the Xfinity he's really preparing for the big one.

Hamlin ran him down and passed him clean .... his 4th win of the season and he was most gracious to Dibenedetto in his first comments after getting out of his car

Matt had a great night for someone who is going to lose his ride next year. Hopefully this will gain him more recognition. I would have loved to see him win it. Denny is sure climbing up to Kyle pretty quick. They both now have 4 wins each.

Ryan Newman strengthen his 15th place position in the Chase with an 11th place finish and gaining 34 points. Jimmy fell further away.

Pretty good crowd tonight by the way.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Monday released his first statement regarding Thursday’s plane crash in Tennessee, one in which five people — including Earnhardt, his wife Amy and daughter Isla — escaped without serious injury.

“Amy and I want to thank everyone who has lifted us up with phone calls, messages and prayer since last Thursday,” the statement reads. “We are truly blessed that all on board escaped with no serious injuries, including our daughter, our two pilots and our dog Gus. With respect to the investigation, we will not be speculating or discussing the cause of the accident. I am thankful for the quick response of my pilots, local law enforcement, emergency personnel and hospital staff. Lastly, Amy and I continue to be very appreciative of the privacy extended to us to process everything. It has been important to do that together and on our own time.”
