60 was the low overnight and here at 6:00 it’s already up to 64. It’s supposed to be a hot day today with the return of winds. Haven’t seen the local news yet (they sleep in on the weekend) so I don’t know if we have another Red Flag Warning for wildfires. As I recall, in central Washington where the biggest fires are burning the winds are expected to be the worse. Boo.

On the bright side, yesterday my wife mopped the floors and to do so moved the dog beds to the rug. She stacked them and our oldest dog decided to get into the upper bunk. Hope the other dog isn’t in the lower.

65 and overcast this morning. High today only around 80 which is a nice break from the hot temps recently. Enjoy it today as it gets hot this week with several days in the 90’s. No rain in sight.

Good day to mow the lawn so that’s what I’ll do. :D

Sympathies to you folks east of the Rockies and the extreme heat this week. Here on the western side we will be warm but not extream.

A bit chilly this morning at 50, tried coffee on the patio with bare feet and a tee shirt. Nope, back inside for a light sweatshirt and some socks.

High today 90 with 90 - 94 all week. Not the humidity you folks in MI and WI suffer so more bearable.

60 this morning with some light overcast. The clouds will keep our high a bit lower today but still 88 as the sun is expected to show up later. We are on the extreme western edge of a monsoonal flow out of the four corners area that is expected to bring strong thunderstorms and some rain to Idaho and Montana. Hope we get some rain but the thunderstorms can stay away.

My neighbor is having a shop built and needed a bunch of trees cut down. He hired a tree guy as they were close to his house. I’m getting the firewood from them and asked the logger to keep them in log lengths. This morning while it’s still cool and the humidity is up a bit I’m going over with my tractor with pallet forks on the bucket and haul them home. I believe I have four years of firewood on hand. Sweet!

Take care my friend. Its going to be hot here too. I have an oil change this morning and I bet by the time I get home it will be too hot to work outside.

86 (RealFeel 90) @ 5PM on Tues July 14th .... they say we will probably see thunderstorms later this afternoon but right now there isn't a cloud in the sky .... first up, Maureen had a physical therapy session .... second, on the way back we stopped at one of our local seafood restaurants where I loaded up on oysters .... absolutely no evening meal will be necessary ....

We have a local restaurant that features oysters on the half shell every Monday
at lunch time. Half a dozen for six bucks. We go quite often and after the oysters
we split a sandwich or have some soup.

Hot and muggy today and to make matters worse the air is extremely smokey from the wildfires in Canada.
