30 and sunny right now. 61 for a high and then 70’s for a few days. Rain returning mid week for a few days then sunny but cooler afterwards. Pretty decent all in all for mid April.

Today I’m attending the annual HOA meeting. I’m the recording secretary so I have to keep the minutes and then send them out. 37 parcels in our community and most of the communication is done via email. This is my third and final three year term and I’m happy about being voted out today.

My wife is sick again. Three months ago she had an infection in her lungs which made her very sick. Cold, sleepy and very disoriented. Yesterday I was speaking to her about our new car and she had no idea what I was talking about. Exactly the same symptoms as three months ago. I took her to the local Urgent Care as our doc couldn’t see her until Monday. The clinic doc agreed with me on the condition and prescribed her the same two antibiotics she took with great success last time. They did a chest X-ray and nothing showed up thankfully.

I was on the Board of Directors for a very large American Legion who owned a gun club for five years. I was quite happy when my last term was up as well. Folks don't realize how much time and energy it takes. Well done.

Carol had the Covid a few years back and was so sick I had to threaten the Rescue Squad to get her into the car to go to the Emergency Room. Same situation. They gave her some drugs that brought her back in about a week.

Funny how Covid can affect people so differently. I've had it twice, once before the vaccine came out, once after and both times it wasn't as bad as some colds I've had. Second time I took Paxlovid. When Covid first started, with my health issues and age I figured I'd probably die if I got it.

70 which is the warmest it will be all day @ 8:14AM on Sun April 19th at our campsite in Raleigh Oaks Campground near Four Oaks, NC .... high clouds with possible, on and off, light rain mentioned in our forecast for the first time in a while .... even if those showers materialize as forecasted, their total rain will only amount to about 5/100 of an inch .... we most certainly welcome all that falls and need plenty more .... the rest of the folks in our camping club are packing up to go home today .... we plan to stay another day

I heard your honk, did you see my wave. (I live about three miles from the highway Redthies was on. )

37 and sunny this morning. First morning above freezing in several days. High around 70 expected. Great day to spray weeds so that’s what I’ll do. Plus pick up another thousand pine cones, it’s one of those years.

My wife is still doing poorly, very uncomfortable and can’t get warmed up. She stayed in bed all day yesterday under five blankets. She did get up this morning for a little bit which helped me get her meds down her throat. I hate to wake her up to take them but it’s what is going to get her better in the long run. She sees our doc tomorrow.

We were supposed to make a trip up to the property for five days this week but I think I’ll postpone it until next week. Nothing that requires immediate attention up there. She has a dermatology and an eye doc appointment on Tuesday which too will get postponed.
