Put the pontoon boat in the shop for the first time. I knew it was longer than the old one and it sure filled up the shop. Should have built a bigger shop (says everybody  )
Hatch, when I see that shop I'm starting not to like you. That's too darn neat. You're embarrassing me.
 What you don’t see is my workbench to the right of the yellow mower. It’s a disaster with crap all over that needs to be put away. Been saving that project for a rainy day. Since I had to empty everything out to get the boat in I did a mild cleaning sweeping too. :D

That rainy day to finish the shop is today and tomorrow. 40 right now with rain and wind expected. Looks like fall is here with a vengeance with a cool wet week ahead.

My shop is a mess right now as well. I've been cracking Black Walnuts for the kitchen and they explode often sending shards all over the shop. When I get done I will do a thorough cleaning. Another problem is my wood turning lathe. It tends to send shavings all over the place. What I usually do is open the door and use compressed air to blow it all out.

its been a busy morning .... first up, a run to the post office to get some things in the mail .... from there continued on to a slaughterhouse/meat market located a couple of towns to our southeast .... returned home and put the meet in the freezer and are now settled in for the evening .... 67 comfortable degrees at 4:30 PM under a clear sky .... they've issued a warning for "FROST ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM EDT SATURDAY....Temperatures in the lower to middle 30s will result in frost formation." .... this is our first frost advisory of this fall .... looking forward to watching the first game of this year's World Series
I thought it was a great game.

we enjoyed it .... when my wife sits up that late and watches a game it has to be a good one ;)

our Frost Advisory mentioned above proved to be of no concern, lowest temp I've seen this morning was 46 .... 56 at 11AM on its way to a forecasted high of 65 later this afternoon .... anticipated low tonight falling to 38 .... nothing major on today's agenda .... kind of hope something good comes up !!

A friend came over with his post hole drill and we set a 4x6x10 to mount the Star Link on.
Now all I have to do is run the cable into the house. Right now it's temporarily just sitting
on grass, but working great.

38 and very breezy right now. Very windy and lots of rain yesterday. Not crazy about the wind but the rain is greatly appreciated. More rain expected for the afternoon. Cool with rain on and off this week. Thursday is looking dry and partly sunny so we may take the UTV up north where the fire was this summer and do some “sight-seeing”. Won’t be a pretty sight for sure.

I have a bunch of piles of limbs covered with tarps for winter burning. I’d better check them today and see if my tarps are askew. I weighted them down with some heavy thick limbs so hopefully they will still be in place.

36 this morning but very toasty sitting here in front of the fire. Mostly nice weather this week with some rain here and there but mostly dry with highs in the 40’s to 50. Good week to get stuff done after a rainy weekend with little outside progress.

With these temps I was able to switch from summer carry to winter carry for my EDC.

A month from summer down under although you would not think so today.
At 07:30 the 3 closest weather stations to the farm showed the temp between 26 & 37 with a felt temp of between 4 & 26.
Decided it was a good day to catch up and get a few jobs done at home 20miles away and 1500 feet lower.

48 at 9AM, our temp is anticipated to rise to 53 before falling back to an overnight low of 47 .... as forecasted, not heavy but steady rain is still very much the weather word for today .... in short, another day during which we have no plan to leave home ....

stayed up to 3AM watching last night's 18 inning World Series game .... thoroughly enjoyed it

A cold frosty one this morning at 28. Nice morning for a fire in the stove but after watching the 18 innings of baseball last night I slept in until 7:00. By that time the furnace had the house warmed up so I saved the wood for tomorrow. I have a limited supply this year.

Heading to the dump today and then doing odds and ends around the house. Yesterday I made a list of my remaining get ready for winter projects and I am happy that it’s pretty short. :D
