46 with a nice day in the forecast. Sunny and 80 later, the last nice day for the near future. Cool rainy days ahead at least we hope so. Highs for the week are in the 60’s and low 70’s with on and off rain.

Leaving here shorty to help my son move some items then it’s back home to cover all the piles of limbs I’ve been accumulating all year. With the pending rain I’ll put a tarp on them and burn later this winter.

50 this morning with what looks to be partly cloudy skies. Today is our last summer like day with a high expected to be in the upper 70’s. Tonight brings the start of a few days of on and off showers which we need desperately. Our area is in a severe drought condition. One level below the worst rating of extreme which can be found 50 miles to the east. The rest of the week is showery with highs in the 60’s.

Got my piles of limbs covered yesterday for the rain. Come winter and snow I’ll be burning for several days. Something I enjoy doing.

today's weather word is rain .... 68 at 11:30AM, water ponding .... the forecasted high today is 72 followed by tonight's low dropping to 66 .... the rain is said to be from tropical systems passing well off our coast .... only thing on today's to-do list is to pickup a grandson after school and get him to a tutoring session

That is a lot of piles.

54' and raining this morning. Maybe 64' later and more rain. Rain rest of the week. I got 95% or more of the firewood in. Another 1/2 hour or so needed, but was too tired yesterday evening to finish.

I’m back from four days and nights of camping. It’s good to be home and watch the sunrise over Timms Hill. In another week it will be rising south of the tower.

We enjoy tracking the sun too but the direction it takes this time of the year isn’t as pleasant as in the spring.

54 this morning, warmer due to some rain that finally fell last night. Laying in bed I could hear it and it put a smile on my face. A break today and more rain tonight and tomorrow. Hope so, I plan to do some mowing of non irrigated areas on Thursday. I wait for rain so it’s not so dusty.

Today the rain break works wonderfully for me as I plan to hit the golf course.

51', cloudy and not raining this morning. 65' and more rain expected this afternoon and at least through Thursday. We've gotten enough rain now that fall burn season should open up tomorrow (Oct 1 - Dec 15).

Same here, it's moving toward a higher hillside so we get even less sunlight. By Winter solstice we only get a few hours of direct sunshine.

once again today's weather word has been rain .... not heavy but certainly steady .... 71 at 1PM with it only anticipated to rise another degree later this afternoon .... the radar shows clouds are moving out and the forecast doesn't call for any more rain until this time next week .... on the positive side, this front that is pulling out seems to be bringing a streak of 70 degree days with it

Finished getting the firewood in. In the last 9 minutes of moving the remaining pieces of wood they got very wet. We'll likely get a few warm October days, so those last arm loads will dry out by the time the heating season starts.

getting the tractor snow blower ready.

49 and what looks like to be a sunny day, at least to start. Possible scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. We received a little bit of rain again last night. The concrete is dry now so it wasn’t much but we’ll take every drop we can get. Stats for September is another month with below average rain. Only month in 2025 that was above or even on average was February.

The extended forecast is for several days of sunshine with lows in the upper 30’s and high’s in the 60’s. We thinking about heading up the the property for 4-5 days and enjoying some wonderful fall weather. With the fire I’m sure we will not be able to take the UTV up on the timber company land. But I have lots of maintenance to do so that could keep me busy but Mrs hatchdog may get bored. We’ll see.
