Sunny but a wind chill factor of 0* here, a warm up to 55* predicted here for later this week, that should be nice. A good day to stay in and watch the two NFL playoff games, will be a cold one for the fans at the games.

with the temp in the teens, its understandably worse this morning that it was yesterday afternoon ... the road in front of our house is very slick .... a fellow just buried his convertible in a deep ditch at the northeast corner of our prosperity .... I doubt that a wrecker can pull him our right now, the road is just too slick and would pull the wrecker instead of moving the convertible

Ouch! That looks really painful. I hope the car hasn't sustained too much damage. I'm guessing it could have turned out a whole lot worse for the driver?

Good morning everybody! :D

It's another mild 47° start to the morning here, but it's due to start changing soon. The wind will be coming in from the north, and the rain will be coming with it so we could be in for a bit of snow in the next few days. Oh well, at least we've been lucky so far, so I expect winter has to arrive sooner or later!

5* at 3:55 AM. Just got up and got the fire in the furnace going good and have it nice and cozy for my wife when she gets up soon to get ready for work. I will run out and start her car about 10 min. before she is ready to leave. Looking to be in the 50's later this week. Contractor coming today to look at the foundation work to be done on our home in the spring.

I hope you manage to get reimbursed from the bank. My current/checking account was hacked several years ago, and it's a sickening feeling.

Chinook comes later this week. Going up to the 40's for temps. Long range says several weeks of it. Bye snow. It will be good to get riding horses again and start to shape them up for work season.

Good morning everybody! :D

It's still a mild 44° and dry. The expected cold winds haven't arrived yet - or if they have, they haven't managed to penetrate the walls yet. I'll find out in about half an hour when I leave for the range.

Enjoy the morning brew, and I hope you all have a great day. ;)

14* at 3:57 PM. Not Magnum. Another sleepless night with the ringing still in my left ear. Been ringing since the impact of the car hitting our house. It will be 6 weeks this Sunday and that ringing in my ear is starting to get to me. May take the 870 I just got Saturday out for a test run today to give it a try on how it functions just in case it may need any thing done to it before it hits the woods and fields later this week if the weather gets better. Hope every one has a nice day.

Freezing rain and the roads are pure ice.

Bout an inch and a half of snow last night and it turned to freezing rain this am. Fortunately I had a customer drop off a plow truck for work and I ordered parts, but was able to plow drives inside a cab for a change. Supposed to hit 44 today and 56 Thursday. Pretty slick now, but the roads are ok.
Good day :D

just heard that earlier today our weather rose above freezing for the first time in 82 hours .... in our part of the country that's a long time .... to put it mildly, many places aren't designed and built for that .... they say on the news that local plumbers are working around the clock fixing leaking pipes and heater repair folks have all the work they can handle

Bandit, I hope you have a lawyer and that you've been keeping him/her informed. If you haven't seen a doctor about this yet, you should. You need to have it documented and associated with the accident as part of the physical damage you've suffered. I hope your hearing issue resolves and that you get some sleep. Not that you should, but I'm in the habit of taking a generic dose of Benadryl each night for sleep. It really helps.

I'm wishing you the very best, especially your good health!!!

Good morning everybody! :D

It's 45° and very wet and windy. It's definitely not a good day for going out, so I think I'll just stay inside and drink plenty of tea. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it. ;)

I hope you all have a great day, and enjoy your morning brews.
