Quite cool today, gotta take an outfit to the body shop this morning. A truck couldn’t quite turn as sharp as they thought they could and clipped my wife’s rig. Everyone have a great day!

We too had a frost warning last night but woke up to 40 so no frost. Sun is shining in my eyes now but rain is expected to arrive around mid day with possible thunder storms later. Last day of unsettled weather for the week. Today I’ll get back to working on the boat but we’ll wait until tomorrow to bring it back outside where my wife will attack some final interior detailing. She loves challenges like this but prefers to work outside in the good light rather than indoors.

73 at 9:30AM on its way to 85 later this afternoon before dropping back to 61 overnight .... no rain today .... thunderstorms moving back in tomorrow night .... as this is being typed we are parked in the NC State Fairgrounds .... we are pretty much ready to break camp and plan to head out after a load of laundry finishes in the campers cloths washing machine .... for those who may not be familiar with why we run a load clothes, the soapy and rinse water flushes out the waste water hose ... we hope to be on the road within an hour

I turned the heat off and the air conditioning on about a week ago. While the a/c hasn’t run for a few days I finally turned the heat back on this morning when the cat complained about it being 58F in the house.

43 with a light fog from all the rain we have had in the last few days including a good hard rain last night. Heard on the news we have nearly caught up on average rainfall year to date. Within less than an inch. High today should be around 60 with mostly sunny but possible showers this afternoon. A very nice Memorial Day weekend is forecast with maybe 80 on Monday. Happy for all the campers for that. We’ll be staying home but hope to get out after Monday for a boat test run.

We have a local fruit orchard community with lots of U-pick fruits that last year due to an early hard frost in December lost their entire peach and cherry crops. 100% zip. Saw a report that this year both crops are huge, so huge that the orchard workers are having to trim some branches off as the trees can’t support the weight. Interesting results from year to year.

The wind is really howling. The weatherman says a steady 20 with gusts to 44. I say a steady 40 with gusts to 60 plus. It is difficult to walk into the wind and at times blows me backwards. Of course I’m not out in it steady. I have had to go out to secure things.

I turned the heat off and the air conditioning on about a week ago. While the a/c hasn’t run for a few days I finally turned the heat back on this morning when the cat complained about it being 58F in the house.

My short haired cat would really be complaining if I let my place get that cold. She sleeps in front of or on a floor heat vent when it's 70. We're at that time of the year where we need some heat at night and A/C during the day but with my central air it's just one button to switch from one to the other.

Maybe you could get the cat (Little Girl??) a heated bed.

Our thermostat has an 'auto' mode. Thresholds are currently set to heat when the temperature drops below 68' and cool when the temperature exceeds 75'. 'Cool' might kick in 2-3 times during the summer. Seldom does it do that automatically. We sometimes run it cooler manually than that to lower the indoor humidity.

Looks like she enjoys it.

I have a radiant heater that I put out on my back covered porch on cold nights for my friend's older outdoor cat and a couple of stray/feral cats I feed. It's fairly close to the cat bed that they sleep in but when they come back from being out and about on a cold night it's amazing how close to it they will sit until they warm up. It's uncomfortably hot on bare skin at 3 or more feet away and they will sit within 6 inches from it.

its been a really nice day .... 80 at 6PM with a prediction that it will go up another degree .... they are calling for strong thunderstorms overnight .... while that most certainly can happen, weather radar isn't picking up a cloud anywhere in the state .... a medical appointment for Maureen this morning started off our day .... from there on to grocery/supply shopping at Walmart .... on the way home we stopped by our favorite farm side stand for a couple of buckets of strawberries .... they really are good ..... looking forward to watching tonight's WMBA game between the Atlanta Dream and Indiana Fever

its been a really nice day .... 80 at 6PM with a prediction that it will go up another degree .... they are calling for strong thunderstorms overnight .... while that most certainly can happen, weather radar isn't picking up a cloud anywhere in the state .... a medical appointment for Maureen this morning started off our day .... from there on to grocery/supply shopping at Walmart .... on the way home we stopped by our favorite farm side stand for a couple of buckets of strawberries .... they really are good ..... looking forward to watching tonight's WMBA game between the Atlanta Dream and Indiana Fever

I had a natural gas fireplace insert in Woodinville and Willy Boy would sit three feet in front of it on an ottoman. Sometimes he would get as hot as a rock and if I wanted to use the ottoman he would complain and not budge.

42 with a bright sun in my eyes as I type this. Too lazy to get up and close the blinds. 60 ish today with a chance of rain tomorrow, just in time for my golf outing. Then a very nice Memorial Day weekend for all the outdoor activities folks have scheduled. Good deal.

Yesterday I started the mowing of my areas outside the yard I keep trimmed. It’s nice to do this after a good rain as some areas can get pretty dusty. Today after taking my wife to a follow on doc appointment from her illness I continue the mow. I got the dustiest area done yesterday so if it gets dry today that’s fine.
