25 this morning heading to maybe 32 if we get some sun. Otherwise it will stay below freezing. We had great sunshine most of the day yesterday and that was fine. Not so much today but we’ll appreciate any glimpses we get.
Not sure what the day will bring other than helping my neighbor mount a red dot on his AR.

I played on my tractor today. With the temperatures in the 30’s it fired right up. I tried to start it a few days ago and it wouldn’t turn over.

31 at 6:15AM with a predicted high of 52 falling back to 29 overnight with no rain .... that is supposed to change with a rainy weekend .... very cold (possibly record setting) low temps on tap for the first part of next week .... we are up early to drive to a neighboring town to pick up a longtime friend's widow and take her to a doctor's appointment in yet another town .... looks like we won't be back home for 5 hours or so

28 currently which is the warmest it’s been in a few weeks. The high today is expected to be 35 before heading subzero again. At least I’ll have one day where I can work in the shop.

Fair, 32°F, Humidity 80%
Wind Speed SW 6 mph
Barometer 29.45 in
Dewpoint 27°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39.
Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west northwest 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon.

Nice looking place Gene. I'm looking to upgrade my tractor with maybe a Kubota. I want something
that's easier for me to get on and off of, and with a cab.
I'm getting old. Hell, not getting, I am old.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
The cold snap is arriving today and it’s 20 out there right now. Teens and possible single digits for me this weekend including Monday then warming back up to more normal temps. Fog/overcast now but there’s a chance for some sun breaks today. Regardless it should stay below freezing all day.
Nothing planned for the day other than feeding the wood stove.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It’s above freezing now but the news said we are heading to subzero temperatures. It’s not that it’s going to set a record low but rather be so low for so long. It’s expected to be below zero for three straight days.

Wind Speed NW 14 mph
Barometer 30.14 in
Dewpoint -4°F
Visibility 10.00 mi
Wind Chill -15°F
Mostly sunny, with a high near 8.

Not much planned. Work in the shop I guess.
Carol and I are both Notaries and we had to journey to the county seat
yesterday and renew them. Then we stopped at an old roadside cafe
for lunch. The place has been there for many years and the food is good.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It’s currently 9F and will be zero by 9 tonight. It will bottom out at -17F and won’t get above zero till Thursday. Most cold snaps only last one day.
I’m not planning on going anywhere except to Church tomorrow.

17 right now heading to maybe 28. Light overcast leads me to hope for some sun breaks. The dogs and I just got back from our morning hike. I must be getting old as my face and fingers got cold. Mostly plan to stay near the wood stove today but I do need to reload the wood rack on the patio. Three trips with a wheelbarrow should do it!
We may see single digits Sunday night. What’s that old song, Arizona here I come, right back where I started from. Well maybe not.

Yes that is a minus reading.
With the wind chill it’s about -40.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
The weatherman says it’s only -13F but my gauge says it’s -22F. It’s always colder on Timms Hill. It’s windier too.
I’m skipping Church today and will stay home and watch the NFL playoffs.
