Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning 198 here this AM, and Oh My, it says we'll see 50 later.
Well, that will surely remove the rest of this white dirt.
I'm going to take the wife's car down to my buddies and change the oil here after it warms up a bit.

It’s cold out there. The wind is 9-15 mph which makes the cold bite quickly.

28 this morning and unless the sun peaks out we won’t see much increase. Looking at the national map of the big sag of cold air over the Midwest we are on the extreme western edge of it. Our impact will be low seeing lows next week in the teens and highs in the 20’s. My sympathies to Coop, Sir Henry, NCG and the rest of you folks seeing the extreme cold.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Well, not to brag but we're used to it. I woke up one morning several years ago and my digital thermometer read
-46 F. That was without wind chill I might add. Of course the females felt trapped and just had to go out shopping
that day.
Now, that was cold!
In fact we are prepared for it. Our homes are well insulated and our furnaces are more than adequate. When I lived
in the South and a cold front came through the house was cold. Not enough insulation.

.. I've offered the thought that as expensive as Walmart walks can be, they are usually much cheaper than similar ones at Lowe's ..

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
25 this morning and mid 30’s expected later with maybe some sunshine. Yesterday we saw the sun for a while and it was great. Starting this weekend and into next week we are expecting colder temps with lows in the teens and highs in the 20’s.
Today the dogs are going to doggie day care and Mrs hatchdog and I are going to Costco. Hmmmm I think us humans got the short end of the stick on this one.

It was -11 this morning but it’s now 15 above and heading warmer all night. It will reach 28 on Friday before heading subzero again. This time it won’t get above zero for four days. What was I thinking when I moved to Wisconsin!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It’s a balmy 24F out with an inch of new overnight snow. I’m going to work in the shop later today or maybe tomorrow when it reaches 33F. That’s the first it will be above freezing in weeks. Then in a few days it will be subzero again. Even the high will be below zero for four days.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning, 32 here.
Yep, got the ears lowered yesterday, and got new tires for the wife's car.
Have a funeral today, the mother of one of my childhood friends.
She was always a sweet women, guess she had a good run, she was 89.
May drop by the shop that's close to the funeral home,
see if they have any of the new Rossi 444's in stock.
Can't get Henry to make one.
Have a good day.
